>>216493636No. Fuck George Lucas. The prequels are shit and always will be. Redlettermedia was right about everything.
>>216493636I’ve loved it ever since I first watched it in 3rd grade. The reveal that Anakin becomes Darth Vader blew my child mind. The music was kino. The story was gripping. The characters were cool. The action was epic
>>216493636They can't, it would destroy everything
>>216493636The older I get, the more I realize Star Wars was always shit. The original trilogy is the only good part of the franchise and even that is dated and campy as all hell. That "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" is always funny though.
>>216493636It was always the worst of the prequels. And I liked the prequels.
>>216494118The boomer fight between Ben and Vader lmao. Old heads really think that was better than this?
>>216493828>The reveal that Anakin becomes Darth Vader blew my child mind.Lol good one
>>216494548It was the only Star Wars movie I had seen at the time, but I knew about Darth Vader through pop culture like family guy, robot chicken, Battlefront, Force Unleashed, Pod Racers, Rogue Squadron for the Nintendo and shit
>>216494670That is so crazy. Did you ever go back and watch the other prequel movies or the original trilogy? I think those are just objectively better than Episode III based on the writing alone.
>>216494809Ye I liked phantom menace but Jar Jar made it a bit of a tough watch. Even Clone Wars took itself more seriously. Qui Gon and Darth Maul were cool. What is your argument about attack of the clones being better than revenge of the sith tho?
>>216493636I agree. George should apologize to us.
>>216494118>trilogyThe first 2 movies are good. The 3rd one is Ewoks and them fixing the design flaw of a vent by making the hole big enough to fly the Aluminum Falcon into it.
>>216495325The Naboo arc (specifically Anakin seeking out his mother and killing the sand people out of rage) was cool and was actually great setup for his turn to the dark side. Anakin being a cocky but talented Jedi was believable and interesting. Episode II had all the things that III was lacking in my opinion: a compelling character story and interesting political intrigue with the clones being surreptitiously purchased and produced, and of course the manufactured war with the robots.Darth Maul was awesome. The final fight between the Jedi and Maul was fantastic. There were definitely things I didn't like about Episode I, but I think Qui Gonn and Maul carried it by being so cool. I enjoyed Phantom Menace more than Attack of the Clones, but I really think Revenge of the Sith dropped the ball with Anakin's arc. His fall from grace just seemed implausible and I think it could've been better written. Also Grievous was an incredibly unlikeable and annoying antagonist. Not saying Episode III was bad. I just thought I and II were better.
>>216493636>Ready to apologize?Ive been apologising every day for the past 60 years
>>216494118Abhorrent plebe, I just rewatched IV a month ago and it still stands as one of the greatest movies ever made. You're taste a shit.
reminder that Mark Kermode, long-term anti-Star-Wars film critic, actually apologised recently:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEyY26VEdy0see this, Red Letter Media? this is called 'being a grown-up.'
>>216493636the prequels are all perfect films, anyone who says otherwise hates fun
>>216495867I watched 6 minutes of this review at 2X speed. Basically, a zoom zoom zoomed him into believing he's too old to properly review III, therefore film good. ACK
>>216496012>Basically, a zoom zoom zoomed him into believing he's too old to properly review III, therefore film good. honestly Kermode has softened since leaving the Beeb. every time he says something nice about anime or a popcorn flick, he still explains himself reasonably but it's usually>i was talking to Child #2, and he said The YouTube Movie is the most epickest thing since Minecraft.
>>216496012Basically, a zoom zoom zoomed him into believing he's too old to properly review III, therefore film good.KEK you're not even exaggerating
>>216495840>Looking down on someone when you can barely spell
>>216495867Lol. Lmao even.
>>216495867>see comments>most of them are prequel memesAre millenials unable to enjoy the prequels without irony?
Perfect movie to see in cinemas when you're 10-12. I did and thus I never hated these movies. But also I recognize them as what they are, schlock for young boys. Same with Indiana Jones. Gen Xers didn't get it.
No because I saw those movies in theaters as an adult.
