As opposed to what

>netflix
no
>chink version
better but very long
>>
>>216495931
I had like 4 people tell me to watch it and I gave it 3 episodes and I thought it sucked. It's fucking gay.

i think it's a worth a binge, not that you have many scifi shows to pick from
chinese version has a better exposition but then gets boring
>>

Yeah I thought it was pretty good. I found the story interesting even if there were some points that were kind of retarded, I still was intrigued by the concept and enjoyed it. Mind you, I didn’t read the book or even have the slightest idea what it was about so I pretty much watched it blind which I’m not sure if it would hinder your experience having read the source material because to me it felt like a mystery and that’s a big part of why it compelled me to keep going.

It is fun slop imo, but it is not high art by any means. I really just like the sci-fi ideas of it more than the execution. I hear the books is similar in that regard.

I enjoyed it but I like obscure sci-fi stuff

Yes. Even the western one. Mogs any modern sci-fi period.

It's miserable, nihilistic chink slop. No clue why its source material is so highly regarded.
>>
>the universe is filled with aliens that do nothing but try to slaughter each other with increasingly retarded superweapons
>the universe ends and everything dies
The end. It's a really retarded book.

Whole story is an allegory for chinks subverting technological progress and invading the west over hundreds of years.
It's like when the jews believe they are absolved for the things they do when they tell you they are going to do them to you.
>>
>>216495931
It's bad, but kinda fun. The characters/cast are mostly really bad and annoying and have anti-chemistry. There is some aggressively cringe dialogue. There are some cool scifi sequences.
>>
>>216495931
Not really. The whole thing boils down to just another version of Pascal's Wager.
>>
It's the sherlock holmes meme all over
It tries to be smart, and I shit you not the main characters are supposed to be the smartests people in the planet... but the people that wrote it are really really really stupid
>>
No it’s an awful adaptation. Also the book sucks too. Second one is neat but got blown out of proportion. The only part of the series that really impacted me was the scene in the first one where the trinigarians are unfolding the proton and when they make it 2D, it focuses itself into a giant lense and begins frying their planet with a death beam. They see it form an eye of sorts before it attacks, and it’s heavily implied some unknownable 2 dimensional civilization living inside the proton took this as a hostile act and tried to defend themselves. Very cool concept and leaves a fun mystery for you to ponder and a scale much bigger than the story itself.
>D&D rape the scene in their show, and instead the sophon at Earth turns into le big spooky eye.
They are either too retarded to pick up on the original implication or they dumbed it down for their troglodyte audience, both are equally likely.

>>216495931
tencent version is good but slow
>>
It's pretty good. It will be interesting to see what season 2 is like, considering that the books get wildly more complicated.
>>
>>216495931
read the books, they are very creative (and depressing)
>>
>>216495961
As opposed to watching paint dry
>>
>>216496285
Yes. The chink author has great ideas, but the execution is mid af, they are overhyped.
>>
For a chink series it manages to be very human. Like it's not the systems themselves that fail and cause humans to fuck up and lose, it's the systems being concentrated in the hands of fucking retarded unlikeable people.

Find Three Body Problem Anniversary Edition. It's the better chinese series, but a directors cut to actually fix the glacial pacing of it.
