I just feel so disconnected from the love of season 3. I like Fire Walk With Me. I can handle the darker take on Twin Peaks. I love Twin Peaks. I like Fire Walk With Me. I recognize Season 3 is a high quality product. The characters it focused on, the largely boring inclusions of characters from seasons 1 and 2 was a major disappointment for me though. I understand you can't go home again. I understand it wasn't possible to just give you more of season 1 and 2. I recognize Season 3 is high quality material. It just doesn't feel that much like Twin Peaks to me, so why would I like it as much as Seasons 1 and 2? I wouldn't.

I preferred when it was unspecified, always distant and you could only imagine what really happened.
