>>216499200nice i am gonna watch this now
When I was a kid, I would happily watch DuckTales, I would happily watch Chip 'n' Dale, and I absolutely loved Darkwing Duck... But for some reason, TaleSpin never clicked with me. It was always 'Ugh, I guess I have to put up with this for a half hour until Darkwing is on.' Maybe I'd appreciate it more now.
And now you remember Don Karnage. Leader of the fearsome Air Pirates.
>>216501886
>>216501886How could anyone forget Don Karnage?
I watches Talespin but resented it. It's what replaced Ducktales on my network at least.
>>216499200Do these shows all share the same universe? Launchpad McQuack seems to be the linking thread. They had humans in Rescue Rangers, right?
>>216503334Ducktails, Darkwing Duck, and Tailspin are all loosely in the same universe. I think the Ducktails revival cemented them together more.Rescue Rangers was it's own thing, it was in the disney block, but yeah it had humans and the animals were proper sizes.
UNRIVALED ANIMATED KINOweebs been real fuckin silent ITT
>>216503348Thanks. Not sure if u guys played any of the NES games but they were all quality. Rescue Rangers had a 2 player couch co-op. I loved those types of games because I got to imagine what it would be like to have a friend to play Nintendo with.
A bit of an overreaction, no?
>>216501886I cried like a bitch as a kid when I saw him at Disneyland because I thought he looked scary
>>216503480I have the DVD set and it has this episode and the "japanese are scary" one that also got banned.
>>216503526Chinese.
>>216503539>hot air balloons beating WW2 artillery
>>216499200>The lost episode of TaleSpin was something I never expected to find during my time on the Internet Archive.>Yet, I found it.>Among a bunch of VHS recordings collected by stupid kids and autistic people for Pooh's Adventures related purpose, I found an episode of TaleSpin that was never supposed to air on TV.>What is TaleSpin? It's a show about Baloo the Bear from Disney's Jungle Book movie (the good one), but he's a dopey cargo pilot.>He works under a sexy bear lady named Rebecca and her daughter Molly.>Baloo is friends with an orphan cub named Kit Cloudkicker.>During the show, Baloo fights Don Karnage, the fox wolf-thing, and his evil air pirates.>Anyway, the episode was unlike anything I had ever watched.>Baloo decides to fly in the middle of foggy weather.>He checks all his instruments, cracks a few jokes...then slams right into a mountain.>The bear explodes into a cloud of pink mist when his plane bursts into pieces.>It was horrific, even for Disney.>I watched as the wreckage burned on the mountainside.>This was cut short by the show's intro, which was totally normal, with the exception of one thing: Baloo's absence.>It's almost as though he never existed.>The episode finally opens with Rebecca trying to figure out where Baloo has gone.>He was supposed to come back after finishing his work for the day.>Kit appears, walking up to Rebecca, wondering if he got into another scuffle with Karnage's pirates.>Karnage himself, meanwhile, was mourning the death of his enemy.>The episode became a clip show for almost five minutes as Don recalled as his encounters with Baloo in the air.>He didn't know what to tell Baloo's friends.>But he had to.>Don hopped into his single-seated tri-wing plane to fly to Rebecca's residence to give her the bad news.>This was when I had to stop.>Why?>I was hungry.>So, I cooked some chicken tenders and fried them until they were extra crispy.
>>216503552They had guided missiles as well.
>>216503416Rescue Rangers was the first non SMB game I beat. I still remember the feeling. Sitting on yellow beanbag chair. I was like 6. Zoomers of course struggle with NES games at 28 and have to watch youtube tutorials and use emulators with save states to beat these games
>hype af intro>every episode is boring slop
>>216503656shut your fuckin bitch mouth i swear to god
>>216503700Don't even acknowledge shit like that.
>>216501917dem g forces
I would fug Rebecca.
>>216501938>plane going at least 120-180kts>Don Carnage standing straight up on the fuselage not giving a single fuck about air resistanceFucking based.
>>216503797why didn't baloo ever fuck her?
>>216501339You have to be one of the kids who thinks planes and/or zeppelins are really cool to get into it. I never even watched the Jungle Book, but I watched my dad play Crimson Skies, so I thought Talespin was cool as fuck.>>216501900And I still think this is cool as fuck. God damn.
>be 10 years old>saturday morning>wake up>the sun is shining>eat a little breakfast>go sit in the couch>turn on the tv>bum bum bum bum bum ooh ihhh eehhNow I'm an old man sitting on the toilet taking a shit before going to work.
>>216501886Him and Shere Khan are some of the best characters in the show. Tail Spin probably is the best of the Disney Afternoon shows. I preferred it over Duck Tails, anyway.
>>216503603It's baffling how zoomers can't handle NES games. Back then, if we beat a game, the only thing left to do was beat it again without dying. Duck Tales, RRs, Contra 2, Mega Man 2, Super Mario 3 (every level), etc.But even though zoomers can't master Nintendo, I've seen my nephews play shooter games and sniping people while jumping off of roofs and shit. Unless it's Golden Eye, I always get smoked.
>>216503656kek this. Even as a kid I thought that show was shit and only watched it to pass the time until the good stuff came on
>>216503945It's a completely different skillset. It's like saying a figure skater sucks at hockey.
>>216503843>I preferred it over Duck Tails, anyway.I don't know how it originally aired, but in my country the whole concept started with DuckTales. Time is a weird thing when you're a kid so I'm not sure how long it took before thet replaced it with next thing. I remember some Aladdin show, The Little Mermaid, Darkwing Duck and, of course, TaleSpin. I think there were more, but at that point I was probably too old. Can't remember which order they came in. Anyway, since DuckTales was the first one I always remembered it most fondly. I recorded a couple episodes on the VCR and watched them like a hundred times, while thinking about all the other episodes that I never were able to watch again.
>>216499200Duck tails was so much better
>>216503348For what it's worth, the Solego comic solidified that all four of those shows plus Goof Troop were in the same universe. Maybe some part of the world just had humans?
>>216499200I wish we could've gotten more episodes that took place inside the city. I really liked the art deco architecture.
>>216503976>I don't know how it originally aired, but in my country the whole concept started with DuckTales. Anyway, since DuckTales was the first one I always remembered it most fondly. I recorded a couple episodes on the VCR and watched them like a hundred times, while thinking about all the other episodes that I never were able to watch again. The Adventures of the Gummi Bears was the first 'Disney Afternoon show', followed by Duck Tales, Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, and the rest came after that. At some point, Disney had enough of the Saturday morning cartoons produced that they started packaging them all together as 'The Disney Afternoon'. Or at least, that's how it was for me in Canada. Watching the Disney Afternoon block. I honestly really liked The Disney Afternoon. Eve though some of the late entry cartoons were a bit questionable.
>>216503348>Ducktails, Darkwing Duck, and Tailspin are all loosely in the same universe.Darkwing Duck was a direct continuation of Duck tales, given that Launchpad ad Gizmoduck were regulars, and Ducksberg was next door to St. Canard. Tale Spin takes place in a fictional version of the 1930's or 1940's, which was why a lot of characters were in suits and ties, and the art deco look was prominent. There was never any cross overs between Duck Tales and Dark Wing Duck. But I think it is in the same anthropomorphic universe. Goof Troop could also be in the same universe as well. Bonkers goes all meta, given that it is running with the Who Framed Roger Rabbit cannon. So any of the Disney characters could show up. Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers was in a different universe. A lot of the later shows like Gargoyles, Aladdin, Timone and Pumba and stuff were all separate.
Anybody excited for the new "He-Man" movie? I remember when the OG film came out and my older bro & his friend had tickets but didn't invite me. I cried, grabbed my crayons, and went under the dinner table drawing images of my older brother dying horribly.
>>216504172It was a rather nice looking place.
>>216503381Why? Tailspin wouldn't exist without Porco Rosso.
