Because it was seemingly unofficially based on a book called 'Nuclear War: A Scenario', that has this same fucking retarded premise of North Korea launching a single missile at the U.S and then launching another missile via submarine at California.

Everything I've read about this scenario and the idea that this would inevitably scale to some world-ending war with Russia is that this is completely bullshit and one of the least likely scenarios for nuclear war. Why they chose such a stupid scenario when the world has legitimately almost ended before due to fuck ups with nukes is beyond me. It literally makes no sense for North Korea to do this and the author's entire premise is that 'sometimes dictators do crazy things' and spends half the book attributing the quote 'Après moi, le déluge' ("After me, a flood" - I.e, 'once I'm dead, who gives a fuck what happens to the world') to NAPOLEON, when it was King Loius XV who said this.

Also the bitch who wrote that book apparently wrote in another book on Area 51 that Stalin dressed children up as aliens and sent a fake alien ship to Roswell to mindfuck America into thinking aliens were real? Some of the people she interviewed for that book appear in her book on Nuclear War.

And they weren't dictators to begin with...

Makes sense. I was watching an interview with her as an "expert" on nuclear war and had to turn it off, because she had no clue about anything. It was like she had skimmed wikipedia and read some sensationalism books from the 90s, filled with debunked half-truths.
