They made a big point about this alternate universe being much more progressive, but the last season was written during the height of BLM psychosis. So they hamfisted some racism plot line in there, even though it does not make sense in the universe they had established.

I watched all of it, but it's one of those shows that'll get forgotten over time because the production team didn't try hard enough.

>>216508690It is fun and the scenes where they focus on solving engineering issues and managing geopolitical issues are good throughout every season.Intercharacter drama slips heavily in later seasons and social commentary is extremely clunky.Good but flawed. Fun if you're curious about what space tech could have looked like if we maintained 1960s funding levels for NASA. First season is definitely worth a watch, the rest only if you really like it.The fight on the moon base in S2 is probably the most fun I've ever had watching a TV show.

>>216510607I wanted more history and alternate history, but it diverged so much so quickly that it has no more resemblance to our timeline, so it's pointless to watch. It's just science fiction with one pop song from each decade shoved in the first and last episode of each season. If technology and history change that much, then music and culture also should have changed accordingly. Man in the High Tower did the same thing, playing 1960s music in Nazi America, makes no sense. And it also doesn't make sense that the first woman president who is also a lesbian is a Republican, come on.
It's alright. The actual space staff is pretty neat and some of the political intrigue is also interesting, but the family/relationship-related bullshit is fucking painful to watch. The astronaut husband guy was especially awful.
