Favorite Wes Anderson scene?
>>
Never seen a single film by him
>>
>>216509716
I liked the scene where one character said “I’m quirk chungus!” and the other character says “me too”
>>
>>216509716
get it, cause asshole smell

I'm being completely serious when I say that Wes Anderson's movies contain a barely supressed fetish for fascism.

I thought the joke was Adrian Brodie's nose.

I like the scene where the white man simply takes and fucks the Indian woman even though she is in a relationship with an Indian man
>>
>>216509763
Many agree
>>
>>216509763
Yeah I just watched Life Aquatic and they all wear the matching uniforms and carry glocks for some reason and run around doing adventure stuff, kind of neat
>>
>>216509998
a lot of the film was dramatized and never happened though
>>
>>216509739
this, and then bill murray make funny face!

Why does Jeff Goldblum beat so many animals in movies?
>>

>Favorite Wes Anderson scene?
Any gunfight he ever filmed. Wonderfully ridiculous. It's like the old GI Joe cartoon where a thousand tons of death is hurling around the screen from the most fearsome implements of war ever designed but no one dies.
>>
>>216510008
?? which part?

>>216510179
>Why'd you have to say it like that
kek
>>

Just watch the fully restored Adventures of Jules Verne, it’s all in there.
>>
>>216509716
I’d make a little gif of my favorite scene he didn’t direct and upload it but I realize it’s been 20years since I’ve done that and have no fucking clue what software I’d even use at this point. …& fucking webm now
>>
>>216510232
Can you please name one movie with a gunfight that's worth watching? I watched Life Aquatic to Isle of Dogs and nothing between those two had a gunfight.

Everyone here said everything past The French Connection was just shit because you were given no reason to really fall in love with the characters.
>>
>>216510232
I love that, all these pistols that sound like cap guns and nobody can hit jack shit. Pop pop pop in a brightly colored room with snazzy matching outfits lol
>>
>>216510462
Nigga were you asleep, do you need vin diesel and the rock to exchange cool homoerotic looks and crack hastily written one liners to make keep you awake between action scenes?

Life Aquatic opens the pirate act with a gunfight on the ship, and ends in a full-on showdown in the hotel on the island, starts with goldblum getting shot right out of his chair and both groups just aimlessly blasting at each other.
>>
>>216510573
It has been 20 years since I watched Life Aquatic, I seriously cannot remember the opening or basically any part of it besides Ned dying. I'm sorry.

All men do, on some level
The problem is that most of us are smart enough to know that execdingly rare men competent enough to assume the mantel of command only emerge under very dramatic and exeptional circumstances, and the rest are just charlatans and fools

The opening of Darjeeling is brilliant. It's such a shame he just kept going more and more stylised until his movies stopped having any humanity in them whatsoever

Napoleon was the latest real one
Musolini could have been if he actually listened to D'Annunzio and didn't betray his own principals

There isn't one as competitively successful. history proves this over and over. The strongest group cohesion is achieved by breaking irredeemable taboos together. Nothing else has ever come close. The secret knowledge of all those secret societies is basically a manual on how to create a class of dissociative personality disorder schizos to rule with zero empathy and amazing group cohesion.

I don't particularly like his films. I fell they're all the same film.
