Even worse when you have rStarTrek and TrekBBS who go out of their way to piss on his grave at every opportunity and these are probably 2 communities they use quite a bit for internal feedback.
No idea why, especially TrekBBS hate Roddenberry so much.

Lower Decks sucks. Once you get past it's just constant memory alpha references, you realize there just aren't any actual good jokes or plots. It's literally "I KNOW WHAT THAT IS" the show. Everyone I've tried to show it too with at least episodes I thought were decent (the holodeck movie one for example) has said it's terrible as well.

Fix Trek
>Soft-wipe everything that happened after Voyager ended, even Soft-wipe Voyagers treatment of the Borg (no Borg Queen bullshit ever referenced again, Borg are purely a hivemind). Section 31 is clarified to have just been a faction of extremists in Starfleet using Section 31 out of context, similar to how Gladio operated IRL.
>Writers: Kim Stanley Robinson, Liu Cixin, Laeta Kalogridis, Diane Duane
>Show Runners: Ronald D. Moore, Mark Fergus
>Setting: 2420s-2450
>Focus: DS9 style, largely focusing on the geopolitical situation Post-Dominion War/Post-Borg, Most episodes are Episodic but there are season long arcs that run in the background same as DS9.
>Ship: None, set on Deep Space 20/"The Watchtower": which is co-run between Federation, Romulans and Klingons as a neutral diplomatic/cooperation point.
>Threat: Breen/Gorn/Orion/Dominion remnants initially, Borg cubes here and there (back to their TNG level power) but I think Iconian remnants would be cool as a main threat down the line. Also could have more interesting plots around the Tal Shiar, Klingon version of the Tal Shiar etc.
>Cast: None of the main crew should be below 35. All should have classical theater backgrounds Shakespeare, Miller, Rex etc. American characters should speak in posh Mid Transatlantic accent like Kelsey Grammer, James Spader, British ones should speak in RP, Australian Cultivated etc.
>No "neurospicy" no Trans, no "non-binary" gender goblins, no fats. This shit doesn't make sense in the context of Star Trek. If "Gender dysphoria" was even a real disorder, it would be detected and cured in the womb.
>Writing style should be a period piece. Characters should be "elevated" and talk like posh intellectuals and idealized military officers. No swearing, no overriding superior officers (One you see in NuTrek all the time: "Helm full impulse" "Already on it captain" ... why did she just engage in her own initiative without order?) military discipline taken very seriously.

>The second season of Prodigy was exclusive to Netflix. Following a “Save Star Trek: Prodigy” fan campaign, the series was picked up by Netflix, which began streaming the first season on Christmas Day 2023. Season 1 exited Netflix earlier this summer.

The trekbbs is full of leftwing faggots. I got banned so many times over the years for bullshit reasons. One mod; locutus of bored, was a piece of shit who banned me constantly for nothing. I heard he died. Good! Fuck him! Fuck the entire mod team too. They are almost as bad as reddit mods. With the way they ban you for no reason.

One thread we were discussing our favorite captains and why. I said I liked kirk. Someone else chimed in that kirk was a womanizer and a sexist pig. I replied that didn't bother me, because kirk is an adventurer and an explorer and it comes with the territory. Banned.

Another time I got banned for saying that janeway was bad captain, because she stranded her crew in the delta quadrant by destroying the caretaker's array.

I said that DS9 was a boring show and sisko was a mary sue space jesus. Banned for racism.

I got banned for calling out michelle yeoh's complete lack of acting ability. Banned for racism and sexism.

Banned without reason for calling lower decks and the animated series illegitimate.

I got banned for calling out the elitism and condescending tone that trek has for us modern day folks. And how they special contempt for people from the 20th century.

I hate the star trek bbs. It's full of the most miserable piece of shit communists who hate the fact that they dont have their luxury gay space communism yet. They blame us normal people for making them go to work, when they would rather be banging a virtual alien on the holodeck.

One time I made the mistake of posting my picture. I'm a 6' foot tall, white guy. Back then I worked out a lot. Immediately I made enemies with the rest of the userbase. I saw their pics. Literal fucking losers, prematurely balding, short and many, many of them trannies.

Fuck them all! I hate trek and hope the next trek is even worse to punish them. Because not even leftists can stomach their own shit for long.

Illogical? He's a spiritual guru, on a search for God. Plus, he looks like Philip K. Dick. What's not to like?
>>
>>216521391
His reasoning, never thinking even once "maybe this is too good to be true" just doesn't make sense. Also he uses his telepathic powers to convince people, but that's not even well explained in the movie as to whether he shows them an actual vision the divine being gave him or some bullshit he made up in his own mind.
>>
>>216521444
He doesn't convince people, he just takes away their pain, and if they want to do something for him in return, he asks them to join his quest. The skirt isn't that big of a deal. Kilts and open legged clothing have existed for men for millennia. Roman soldiers had opened "skirts" and not leggings and they were brutal killers.

But everything else about this dude screams "take the species main attribute and do the opposite to generate dramatic storylines." So the tough Klingon becomes a softie bottom boi.

But even that could've worked if everything else about Nutrek didn't prove they had no idea what to do with it.

They'd have had no peace once the tourist learned the dude that they watched almost die was Kirk and the dude that rocket-shoed to his rescue was Spock--the 2 dudes who'd saved earth atleast 3 or 4 times by then.
>>
>>216522343
actually you know what? no, it's more upsetting because we know and Spock and Chapel both know that she had feelings for him and they had already settled it and now they're being forced to kiss. it's so fucking fucked up and upsetting.

It is possible to be progressive and still also hate Jews.
>>
>>216522366
Perhaps Yosemite is reserved for the "right people", not common rabble. Unless you're willing to work for the Federation, or Starfleet, all you get is a hovel in a brutalist skyscraper and a replicator that only produces flavorless söylent, synthesized from the bodies of other hikikomori who couldn't stand any more of their empty lives.
>>
>>216522410
And to be fair he didn't hate them, he hired Shat and Nimoy who were jewish. Gene just seemed to call people out pretty freely and to be fair Ive heard similar versions of Genes complaint about Jews taking credit for inventing all good things in various forms over the years. It's not a new or unique complaint, like criticizing circumcision as unethical because an infant can't consent to a purely cosmetic procedure. Lots of people feel that way about it.

Have you heard that Jews take credit for inventing pizza and for bringing fried fish culture to Britain? Its that kind of stuff that rubs some folks the wrong way. Gene was confident enough to call it out as bs.
>>
>>216522441
Eh, not in future utopia land. Thats something a fascist society does. Now maybe he did reserve a campground since the E-A was scheduled for repairs or whatever. But I doubt they'd seal off a section of park for Kirk, even as a thanks for saving earth again.

Its just one of the many, many, many faults with V.
>>
>>216521444

Fellow 4chan forum posters and TrekBros!

Did you know that one of the reasons the U.S.S. Enterprise didn't fight in a lot of the Dominion War engagements is because Captain Picard was leading the ship on numerous diplomatic missions to shore up alliances and resolve attempted Dominion fuckery.

For example, there was a brief Coup d'etat that happened in 2374 where a faction of the Gorn attempted to take control of the Gorn Empire and expand. However Picard and the Enterprise crew were able to stop the rival faction from taking over and then convince the Gorn to join the Federation Alliance against the Dominion.

The compensators are offline again. I think the wormhole surge overloaded half the ship.

QUARK
I noticed. Try to keep the other half from exploding.

A klaxon blares.

QUARK
What now?

ROM
Navigational grid failure. We are falling into the planet’s gravity well.

The shuttle spirals downward.

EXT. UNCHARTED PLANET – CRASH SITE – DAY

The shuttle has gouged a trench through barren soil. Smoke rises. Quark and Rom exit, coughing.

QUARK
Another glorious Delta Quadrant detour. Remind me to sue the Prophets.

ROM
At least we are alive. Mostly. The ship needs parts I cannot fabricate here.

QUARK
Then we search. There must be something on this rock worth using.

They set out across the terrain.

EXT. RAVINE – LATER

Rom climbs over stones and loses his footing. He tumbles into a shallow pool of shimmering liquid.

ROM
Brother! Help me!

Quark scrambles down and pulls him out. Rom stands dripping with metallic fluid.

Quark freezes, stunned.

QUARK
Latinum. That is raw, undiluted latinum.

Rom blinks.

ROM
Is that not impossible?

QUARK
Apparently not.

Quark follows the small stream feeding the pool. They walk until the narrow channel widens.

EXT. LATINUM BASIN

A vast lake of liquid latinum stretches to the horizon. Sunlight reflects in blinding waves.

Quark’s expression shifts from exhilaration to shock.

ROM
Brother?

QUARK
This is ruin. If this quantity exists, then latinum is not rare. It is common. The entire Ferengi economy collapses. Every vault, every bank, every contract… worthless.

Rom looks out over the lake.

ROM
But we could repair the ship. A little would help.

QUARK
A little invites questions. Questions lead to investigations. Investigations lead to this planet. Then the Ferengi Alliance strips it bare. Starfleet archives it. The market floods. Everything becomes nothing.

Rom absorbs this.

ROM
We cannot call for rescue. But without rescue, we cannot leave.

QUARK
We repair it ourselves. Quietly. Slowly. Without using a single drop of this. No one must know what is here.

INT. SHUTTLE – NIGHT

Quark works through fatigue, improvising repairs. Rom assists with whatever salvaged parts they can gather.

ROM
Should we at least record coordinates, in case we need to return?

QUARK
No records. No logs. No scans. Nothing that can ever be traced. This planet does not exist.

Rom hesitates.

ROM
There is an irony. A fortune so large it destroys itself.

QUARK
That is not irony. That is business.

EXT. PLANET – DAWN

The shuttle, barely flightworthy, powers up. Quark looks once more at the distant gleam of the latinum sea.

He seals the hatch.

INT. SHUTTLE – LIFT OFF

The shuttle claws its way upward.

ROM
What if someone discovers this place one day?

QUARK
If they do, may the Divine Treasury sort out the mess. I intend to pretend it never existed.

The shuttle disappears into the sky.
