I’ve come to the conclusion that if the bread overpowers everything else on a pizza, it’s a bad pizza. That’s why places like Little Caesars and Domino’s don’t do it for me, their pizzas are mostly bread with light sauce, cheese, and toppings. Even if you order it with extra sauce and toppings and cheese, it's still mainly just bread.A place like Round Table, on the other hand, usually gets the ratio right, with enough sauce and cheese to actually balance the crust and bread, and it's even better when you order extra sauce and it becomes more like a proper dish that you'd need to eat with utensils over a plate. It's all about the ratio, and bread is cheaper than marinara, cheese, and toppings, so most places try to rip you off by showing pics of the pizza from the top where it's lightly covered in toppings, cheese, and sauce and you can barely see the bread, but in reality, it's 90% bread

Im European but live in Canada. I prefer north American pizza. Its unhealthy as fuck but delicious and cheaper. European pizza is basically just thin bread with sauce and a little bit of cheese. Its not a healthy meal either macro wise, just way smaller. The worst is when the fancy pizza shops try to sell it at a premium when I can get a much better tasting Dominos (typically considered bad) for half the price. Real Pizza is like a C-tier food, while Americanized Pizza is like a S-tier fast food. Anyone who is hating on it needs to make this distinction first.
