Has the IMDb been brigaded?

Just finished watching the first 6 episodes and am really enjoying it. I thought I would check out the IMDb reviews, and every recent review is 5 or under and nearly all of them ask why the show is receiving such good reviews (I saw no good reviews from all the recent ones).

I get that the show is not for everyone and people have different tastes, but I feel like this is an objectively good show so am confused about the consistent recent bad reviews.

Surely we haven’t got to the point where there are a bunch of people giving it bad reviews because the main character is gay or because there are a lot of non white people in it, but that’s the only reasoning I can come up with. That a bunch of people have been sent there to give bad reviews because it is too “woke”.

Maybe I just have become too cynical about the current state of the world (or more so the current state of the internet) or maybe I have bad taste in shows? Be interested to hear peoples thoughts about why this seems to be the case on IMDb at the moment

I also think this is how season 1 ends. Maybe the plurbs give her a deal of sorts to self-preserve. They sacrifice one for many. Carol is human and lonely, so she chooses to bring back her wife aka the only person she really loved. Helen's body is decomposing, so might as well put her into the hot pirate lady. (The show will likely end with Carol saying goodbye to Helen when the real Zosia is about to return to her body and then turning into a stranger. The issue with the show is that for a modern audience trained by Netflix to expect someone to explain what is happening in the scene every 60 seconds with constant jump/smash cuts, doing a scene where some guy listens to a ham radio, opens a storage locker, and eats dogfood for 11 minutes is going to piss them off.

Pluribus still has a lot to prove, and my opinion could change, but it is legitimately very interesting so far to me. The alien premise/hivemind stuff is really neat, and I don't think another show has captured the loneliness of trying to navigate the normiegroid NPC world as much as this show has.
