>>216520856The things I've always loved about Taxi Driver were the cinematography and the depth of the critique. The way Travis is so relatable up until the very end, and then you have to question yourself. Maybe I just watched it at the right point of my life, but it will always be kino to me. I have yet to watch a movie this raw on critique of loneliness and whatnot.

It is almost taboo again because of racist nerds, but the Mishima film reviewed famously as great by Roger Ebert, long before racism hit the web: the film is worth a watch if you think you can handle those themes.
