i don't know if it's the consensus since i don't converse with shamelessfags but i'd say after you finish s4 is a good stopping point assuming you're already feeling the fatigue setting in and have some willpower in letting go
the performances remain good and i'm astounded at how they keep coming up with decent frank material throughout the run of the show but it quickly loses whatever "main" plot it kind of had in the earlier seasons and nothing really means anything more

I've watched it all and I would just stop at the end of season 4
yeah lots of loose ends, but it's the best ending for the series
it's like trailer park boys where it should have just ended after that first plan to make all the money completely worked out
