Tarantino is right. Paul Dano is a shitty actor
>>
>>216521008
He does well at playing a massive fag in everything he's in. I loved seeing him get raped by Day Lewis in TWBB
>>
>>216521008
Never liked him, although I did appreciate his willingness to say the n-word
>>
He's such an ugly dysgenic freak but so is Tarantino, just a couple of mutants.
>>
>>216521008
Only realised he was in Cowboys vs Aliens this week
>>
classic

He’s just not utilized correctly for 90% of his roles. Once he fully embraces that he’s a character actor he’ll have a great career.

OP run, OP flew, OP tore his asshole in two.

Tarantino simply can't appreciate the subtle bluntness of the classic 'ano

Did he play the kid that wanted to be a pilot in LIttle MIss Sunshine? If so he was good in that one.

He's a very mediocre actor and the controversy was overblown and yet necessary in order to get rid of a type of fawning insincerity that has plagued Hollywood recently. All those cloying oh you're so great you too etc talks among actors on Variety etc are garbage.
Beforehand, ppl criticized each other all the time openly because culture is inherently confrontational and the fact is that many actors, directors etc do suck and have to be called out by their peers

Quentin wishes he wrote this scene.

In any period with more spine Tarantino’s words would just have been another opinion.

he wishes he was the actor in the scene

9 out of 10 times people who whine when they're criticized have to be because there's at least some truth to the criticism
>>
>>216521008
nah, he's alright
>>
>>216521008
Maybe not shitty but certainly not good. I understand wanting to defend the guy and the other two since you shouldn't really say such things publicly but it doesn't make Taratino wrong.

Taratino is an autist with a high bar that he expects his actors to meet. It's like saying Haruki Murakami and Stephenie Meyer are both equivalent in skill because they're both successful novelists.
