Definitely westerns. The only gangster film I really love is Sonatine. Scarface (1932) is pretty good too and has some great scenes.

Gangster films but only because they're very creative in terms of plot. Westerns these days are just too gay. The last one I genuinely enjoyed was probably 3:10 To Yuma.
