>>
>>216524452
Best marketed perhaps
>>
>>216524464
I was so disappointed with poltergeist but the other two I like yea
>>
>>216524452
Atmospheric dread is true horror
not jumpscare babbyshit
>>
>>216524493
I was 8 months old lol
Shame I didn’t get the theater experience
>>
I'd put The Thing as the greatest but Blair Witch Project is an all timer
>>
>>216524504
The cgi poltergeist looked bad back then
>>
>>216524452
Eden Lake is better
>>
>>216525001
There is literally not a single good movie with “Lake” in the title.
>>
>>216524452
It's bad because you never see the witch
>noooo anon you got filtered because le mystery is the whole point and it's...LE CINEMA

If it's good enough for the Fass, it's good enough for me
>>
i find found footage films are underrated in general, sure theres a ton of shitty ones but in the 21st century theres more classic found footage horror films than otherwise. They're also a decent gamble with having a lower budget to turn a profit if its advertised well. I hope we get to an era of more lower budget films because turning a profit on all these overpriced schlock films is clearly not easy even when they come from household franchise names

The last exorcism
>>
>>216525066
Lake Placid is ass shit.
>>216525152
Belgium isn’t a real place.
>>
since I'm hearing a few of my favorites I'll throw out Shining, it is stronger when you're a kid but overall its a great film down to every detail, Jacob's Ladder is another. Hard to say what the true "scariest" horror film is but those 2 are some of my favorites and among the best aswell as the one i'm responding to below

>>216524536
The thing is certainly one of the best but in being a scifi film it feels outside most of the movies in the genre, Even Horizon was more "horror" in that scifi realm
>>
>>216525438
You know what ELSE is ass shit?
>>
not the best but I'll go to my grave saying Skinamarink is great, the scene with the mother in bed is probably top 5 best horror scenes of the 21st century

>>216525023
kek Under the Silver Lake
>>
>>216525051
Use ur imagination fren :^)
>>
i rewatched it recently and again I couldn't call it the best "horror" but if it fits in the genre its easily one of the best films. JAWS
>>
whats the best abduction horror? a few of them have one reeeeeaaaaally good scene like Fire in the Sky.
>>
>>216525584
dark skies but the ending isn't as good as the rest of the film
>>
>>216524474
Thinking movies aren't a form a fiction... Anon you're retarded.
>>
>>216525584
I thought Phoenix Forgotten was pretty decent
>>
>>216525826
most horrors have shit endings, and plenty of them its the entire third act that goes to shit, if you only counted for the first 1-2/3rds of most horror movies they'd all feel a lot higher quality
