So we all agree this was not funny right? Who was this even for?
>>
It was not as bad as people make it out to be
>>
>>216525981
Never saw it because of how bad I heard it was. I’ll never watch it.

>Who was this even for
White women in their 50s you dumb retard.
>>
>>216525981
These brand biopics are not made for anyone. They're just streaming filler.
>>

>Who was this even for?
network executives who haven't figured out that Larry David was the comic force being Seinfeld, not Jerry
>>
>>216525981
It's for Jerry Seinfeld so he can make money and Kellog's so they can advertise
All of these "Brand: The Movie" movies are just not-subtle stealth advertising because corporations are upset about adblocking

Blackberry and Air were surprisingly entertaining. Have had no interest in any of the other ones.
>>
>>216526017
Larry made a comedy show with no script and no real plot and it was the funniest thing on TV in decades
>>
>>216525981
Made 4 wine aunts
>>
I didn't like it. And I say that as a Bee Movie fan.

Blackberry would have been so much better if the director didn't cast himself as the third lead and then mary sue the shit out of his character
>>
>>216526057
I didn't think they Mary Sue'd that character. He was initially extremely obnoxious and portrayed as naive and completely out of his depth. He became more likeable as the film progressed and he just continued to be passionate about the product and didn't became overly obsessed with success or tunnel-visioned like Mike did but the character was definitely not portrayed overly positively imo. I don't know how flattering the portrayal is compared to the real guy.
>>
yeah i hoped it would be good because I love Jerry (though he hasnt had a hit since his show) but it was mediocre af. You know what was good? Blackberry, Dennis/Glenn Howerton magnum opus
>>
>>216526207
he 100% made his character the shitty "moral compass" of the film. Jay's character would abandon his values and turn more corporate, and the director's literal self-insert would shake his head "mahhhnnnnn you've lost sight of everything that made blackberry great"
it probably would have been less jarring if the director had cast an actual actor in the role instead of casting himself, because he's not a very good actor either. Say what you will about M Night but he never gives himself that big of a role in his cameos
>>
Bill Maher really liked it
>>
>>216525981
i seem to remember i laughed a couple of times, but i cant remember why
>>
recently I've made toastering brown sugar cinnamon poptarts my favorite snack, its addictive
>>
>>216525981
Basically 30 Rock buckbroke Seinfeld and he waited too long to cuck back
>>

You do one for them and then one for yourself. That's how you play the game, anon
