Do these guys even hold a candle to the likes of Carson, Letterman, or even Leno?

Craig > everyone

He certainly is hornier than any other host.
Pretty based, if you ask me

What’s going on with Seth Meyer’s skull?

Hasn't this always been the case, though?

They're all soulless, humourless freaks who seem like they were created in a lab to shill slop (and disgust real people). A far cry from charismatic, idiosyncratic geniuses like Letterman.

>and disgust real people
And it's on purpose. That whole "vax scene" shit should have turned a lot of people off to Colbert, but nope.
>>
>>216529120
Well I mean it did. If it didn't his show wouldn't have been in danger of ending.
>>
I grew up with Letterman. Whenever I think of the night show format, I think of him. I don't always like him, in fact, sometimes he is a dick, and I know he was not the first, but I still see all of those others as Letterman imitations.

Craig was the last good late night host, Dave was right Craig should have been the guy to replace him
>>
Literally all of late night talk shows are complete and utter slop outside of Conan and arguably Ferguson
James Cordon is painfully unfunny and an arrogant douchebag that nobody seems to like
Colbert was always a worse Jon Stewart, who became unwatchable with his switch to late night
I genuinely didn’t realise Kimmel and Fallon were different people for the longest time. Charisma vacuums
>>
None of these guys are trying to be like any of those guys. The ratings don't exist to support a purely humor-driven talkshow anymore, if you want that shit go listen to a podcast. Fallon unironically saved the genre by constructing his entire show around creating clips to upload to Youtube that would get millions of views the next morning and cramming the rest of the show with product placement but even that probably isn't going to be good enough in a few years.

For me, it’s The Grey Leno Show

Vinesauce is sick in the head. In a good way

Every late night show currently airing modeled itself after Dave Lettermans nbc show which was epitome of late night. Nobody tries to do a show like carson or jack parr because people don't have the attention span
