do I want to buy a bluray or should I download the 4000000000000gb bluray torrents instead?
If you have a player you want the full disc. Bitrate is king, even over resolution. Reencoding torrents destroy information. Unless it’s a lossless rip
Neither is a good option. Look up nikt0, oft, popcorn on Sanet.st and get a Rapidgator account. Thank me later.>inb4 paying to pirate
>>216530109The fuck you on about? Most 1080p YIFI rips are 1.4gb max.3.2gb if you want 4k from RARBG for example
>>216530109You want to do what i do. I have been torrenting since the very begining and still do. This is how I discover movies. I have a few tb of music and tv shows, 35mm scans and wrestling.I also buy blurays. I started a few years ago, really the last time one of my hard drives died (happens eventually). I realized torrent sites were dying off, and while low quality rips are plentyful, remuxes are becoming more rare and with 4k storage starts to get more expensive. One reason I didnt buy blurays before is a fell for the disc rot meme. Once I discovered this was not a real issie for factory pressed discs but only burned discs I started buy blurays.I have something lile 400 titles. I dont buy everything but I buy the movies I know I want to watch again. When buying new I mostly buy 4k unless the standard blu is better (t2 or aliens for ex). I will buy standard blus used for maybe $2-5 cad from pawn shops or thrift stores. When used I will buy movies I havent seen sometimes or anything I like since its so cheap.Standard blu ray players are super cheap used. 4k players are expensive new, but I have heard a few stories of people finding them cheap used. An xbox x or ps5 is probably what most people use to play 4k uhds. 4k discs are all region free but standard blu rays are region locked. A ps3 is probably the best region free blu ray player you can get.
>>216530305This is a joke right? These are not watchable unless you are blind.
>>216530433>These are not watchable unless you are blindWhat's wrong with them? Even BONE has 1080p content under 2gb and they look fine on my TV.
>>216530305why not just download 700mb axxo rips
>>216530433>his 4k tv doesn't have ai upscaling
>>216530305haha fucking torrenters. bunch of amateurs
>>216530609>ai upscaling
I find the Blu-ray players really clunky and I’ve had discs go bad too. The old Oppos are probably the best if you can find one inexpensively
>>216530637You can just say it's more important to you because you watch all your movies 10 inches away from your computer monitor instead of in a big room with a big tv
>>216530305yikes
>>216530457your tv must be tinyeven on a 42inch 1080p (so not need to upscale ) panasonic plasma back in 2010, i wouldnt go lower than 8gb5gb if its h265 and a good encode, is the absolute minimum
>>216530609i use a nvidia shield pro which has the best ai upscaling, and still i wont go less than 8gb.but for my top 100 films i';ll go 20-80gb remuxes
>>216530109It takes me about 12-15min to download/unpack a 4K Remux. Discs can never beat that kind of convenience.
>>216530609AI upscaling 1080p to 4k looks WORSE. You are blind.Jesus christ im tired of retards poluting their ai upscales everywhere. A 1080p remux looks better than any ai upscale.
>>216530109Always go for a modern reencode with good bitrate, even x264, over a BD. BDs and Remuxs use ancient MPEG-2 encoding that have banding issues despite the giant file size.
