You ever wonder what washed retired actors that clearly didnt make enough money to be financially independent for life are up to now?
>>

She married a millionaire screenwriter who is 80 years old, had a kid with him, and sold her stupid little online studio for millions. She is loaded for life.

As for Glau she's still famous enough to get gigs here and there and supplement her income with cons and alike.
>>
>>216530712
I had a sewer issue and called roto rooter and she showed up. There was a moment where it was clear that she knew I recognized her but I didn’t say anything
>>
>>216531083
It's all public records and they both live at the same house, and I'm pretty sure they're legally married. The thing is: why is she so secretive about this? Think about it. Nothing illegal about marrying an 80 year old or having a kid when he's 75. But why the age gap to begin with?

1. Middle aged FDay decided banging a senior citizen is her thing.

OR

2. Teenage FDay hooked up with a middle aged man, and they stayed together for decades.

Given the secrecy, I think option #2 is the answer. She doesn't want people asking questions on how they met. "Well, I was in grade 9 and..."
>>
>>216530712
I used to worry about this kind of shit when I was a kid and didn't understand what whores actors are
>>

>>

I thought she was a barely legal dyke sugarybaby who fell backwards into fame through the internet and her WoW streaming show.

Didn't know she was an actual whore.
She's got that highly fuckable pale firecrotch thing going and is the cute quirky kind of woman that worn down by the world men like having around.
>>
>>216531896
For all the shit I hate about americans, having dedicated wills that allow you to do that is awesome
In my country is direct inheritance, absolutely everything you have goes automatically to your legal spouse (half) and split between all your kids (the other half)
I guess it has it's pros and cons, but still, having to dictate your will is a massive pro
>>
>>216530712
Felicia Day is a twitch streamer now
>>

She's a horse (and a whore) I find nothing fuckable about her

>>
>>216531160
>But why the age gap to begin with?
because there's this thing called time and it is constantly moving in one direction
>>
>>216532247
sure but we also have this thing called sueing where if we don't like something we take it to civil court and have a judge decide the outcome.
for finances and shit, if a husband tries to leave his wife with nothing, the wife will win in court. the judge will ask if the wife has given up on an education/career etc in order to take care of the household or support the husband's job or raise children yada yada... if she has she's getting something regardless of what a will says.
this is the reason prenuptial agreements get thrown out all the time, if a person gives up on their own pursuits to support someone else, they should be entitled to a cut of that.

The most circumstantial but damning evidence is just Duncan's biggest success, "Mr. Holland's Opus"
It's clearly one of those hipster wish fulfilment self-insert sorta biopic things in the first place
Then you have the subplot where the underaged redhead music prodigy falls in love with her teacher
And in the movie it's played very sweetly, he lets her down gently, gives her the whole "this is just a crush and you'll understand when you grow up" speech, obviously kinda wants to rail her but is a Better Man about it
Whereas in reality the girl was an underaged Felicia Day and he took her ass out to his Toyota in the school parking lot
>>
>>216532441
You're right, of course, because the courts are cucked.
but I love the notion that this honker gave up a career to marry a right guy

Glau clearly makes her whole living from the convention circuit
She's one of that very specific "elite" like Jeffrey Combs or Stephen Amell who can consistently just show up somewhere and clear high five/low six digits in a weekend
And when she found that out she seemed to basically retire and become a housewife, she knocks out a whole middle-class lifestyle just by making four trips a year
Can't hold it against her, it's nowhere near the worst grift I've ever heard of
>>
>>216530712
they either become professional grifters, marry rich, or actually marry for love and find a way to prioritize work/life balance while raising kids
>Adrienne Curry became a professional grifter pandering to incels on Twitch
>Felicia Day married rich
>Summer Glau married for love and does just enough work to keep bills paid while spending time with her kids
>>
Her baby daddy is like 90 years old
>>
>>216532684
>>Adrienne Curry became a professional grifter pandering to incels on Twitch
She tried becoming a co-host on Tim Pool's show. Looks like the grift is failing
>>
I really hate that we only ever got the one big Twitch database hack but Sasha Grey made $122,000 in 2019 playing video games three hours a day and surely makes more now just because the platform has grown so much
>>
>>216532841
At least it's Tim Pool's show and not The Quartering lmao
>>
>>216532912
She's definitely on the second step of "the pyramid," below the likes of Hasan or Pokimane but above every other streamer on earth
>>
>>216531160
The reason for the secrecy was that she was already shacked up with him while trying to make a career out of being nerd bait. She was trying to portray herself as the "attainable" nerd girl to the type of autist that spergs out when their favorite titty streamer slips up and admits they have a boyfriend. By the time the secrecy no longer mattered, no one cared enough to dig anymore.
>>
I know that bella ramsey is an OF girl
The chick from Icarley is still making money from her book.
The guys from brak and athf are basically poor now.
>>
>>216532529
yep the red head music student in the film stands out to me too as it mirrors FDay's life too well. The reason she's probably secretive is the second they come out publicly you would be able to look through the records and see that their paths crossed when she was in middle or high school. Maybe he was a teacher or a tutor or something.

It could also not be as literal as that, as FDay and him could have been banging back then and she told him some of her backstory, and he used that as a basis for some of the plot points.

It's too on the nose and too coincidental.
>>
>>216532976
>I know that bella ramsey is an OF girl
I literally physically just did the Steve Carrell "No" gif reading those words on my screen
>>
>>216532529
Horseface was born in 1979, and the film came out in 1996 - and the film would have been written and produced a year before. FDay would have been 16-17 at the time. That is the likely reason for the secrecy.
>>
I thought she was in that movie Her but that's not... her.
>>
>>216532784
>>216532684
FDay's stupid online show was sold for millions, I don't know how much and it was making millions before. People who got in early on the podcast or video game sold their shitty companies for tens or hundreds of millions to clueless mega-corps and got out rich.

In 2014 Wanda Group spent $100 million acquiring YouTube channels and hers was the largest
The real question is why the fuck did they do that when all of the channels went out of business anyway

I don't think people want to accept that Chinese billionaires can be as retarded as anyone's billionaires, the myth of competence is too psychologically appealing
>>

This. And the eats pussy thing she really tried to lean into multiple times put her in the lesbo ghetto and ended her dork marketability.

>>216532998

>>
>>216532646
It's not a bad life if she's not interested in the high profile socialite lifestyle that most actresses seem to want. Biggest concern would be how long can it go on? At what point does it become not worth it to go to the conventions because the money slows down as interest in her wanes.
>>
>>216533184
That's what budget sci-fi/fantasy shows with a curated audience was for.
It was litterally a basic "comfort show" for dorks and normies and was steady work for actors and actresses

The con circuit after was also part of that ecosystem. They kept the shows popular with the degenerate....I mean fans and kept their star shiny and pockets lined.

It was great. it worked.
Then "they" got involved and turned it into a total clusterfuck that openly hates the very audience that keeps things going.

I know it's not fair to point out that, say, Walter Koenig is still milking his only noteworthy role as he turns 90, so instead let me cite something considerably smaller and briefer than Trek
>>
>>216533067
The point is that she's almost certainly richer than her husband, who probably made some good money but hasn't had a hit in like 25 years.
>>
>>216533271
I remember a story Van Dien told where he was picking his kid up from school and all the school kids recognized him immediately. And it turns out their fathers typically showed them Starship Troopers. These are all literal grade-school kids too, which makes it much funnier. Imagine being a young father, a millennial, and you show your kids this gory sci-fi action film? Apparently this kind of thing is quite common and you have a secondary fanbase appearing with films that stood the test of time.

I'm reading the Chicago Tribune, and their respective Wikipedia pages, to see if I can find a time and place they lined up. He comes to LA at age 30 (1977). She comes to LA at age 18 (1997).

Who knows? Maybe they didn't meet until then?

I do know that there's tons fo cases where a teacher marries a student they taught who just graduated, and it's very likely they were fucking when they were 16 or 17. Happens more in "Traditional" christian groups than anything. A lot of lefties whine and condemn that as "pedophilia", but if everyone is happy, whatever?

not unreasonable, my dad showed me Terminator 2 and RoboCop and Predator when I was really young, it makes sense that those kids became adults and did the same thing for their kids
it used to be common knowledge that stylized violence didn't cause or create new violence
he drew the line at movies that had sex or nudity though

>The con circuit after was also part of that ecosystem

I remember when season 1 of Star Trek Discovery was first in production, a bunch of the actors like Anthony Rapp straight up said they took the job with the intention of milking the convention circuit for long term income
it was really funny years later seeing pics of conventions where all the Star Trek tables are together and the old school guys like Jeffery Combs have hour long lines right next to the STD players who have no lines at all

Going to a summer outdoor screening Starship Troopers with my dad when it came out and I was in, like, 7th grade is one of my most cherished memories.

Then when we got home we found that my grandpa had faceplanted off his bed and my dad (a surgeon) stitched him up. I remember we had a giggle about leaving gore at the movies just to find blood everywhere at home.

It's quite obvious that the stable sci-fi/fantasy portion of entertainment was taken over by no talent creeps who hate sci-fi/fantasy and the entire fanbase. And it feels like a top down decision to dismantle it all through awful messaging and flooding it with sheer incompetence.

The shows depend on the good will of it's audience and good or at least watchable entertainment.

A rabbit hole that I rather enjoyed perusing a while back is that there is a singular Xena Convention, a continuous event that's been going on since S3 of the show. There's a whole small company that seems to exist solely to host and perpetuate the annual Xena Convention.

Every year, Lucy and Renee show up (I think they've maintained 100% attendance, although I wouldn't be surprised if one or the other had to videoconference in once or twice)
Oftentimes Bruce Campbell, Ted Raimi, Karl Urban, etc. will show up. Kevin Sorbo stopped getting invited in like 2010. Of course there'll always be two dozen randos who are like "I played Fur Bikini Barbarian That Got Stabbed By Xena #17 in S04E12" that get heroes welcomes, too

And it's a singular ecosystem to itself. Thousands of people go, mostly fat autistic lesbians. Some go every single year like a religious event. Some get married there in their dorky Xena and Gabrielle cosplays. To be cynical, proof of its financial success is that it never fucking ends. There was talk of 2015 being the final one but I guess more people bought tickets because of that and that jumpstarted it.
