Yeah, a 180 pound man can just grab a 500 pound shark out of the water with one arm. How retarded do you have to be to like this movie? A parrot can cut a wire with one quick bite? Make an anchor out of water jugs??? Surf over coral on a giant raft? Didn't show how they prepped. Didn't show what they ate besides the powder soup. A crab manages to stay alive during the whole journey and even through the storms and coral surfing. The parrot commits suicide? WhyTF did it jump in the water? One minute they have severe sunburns, the next none. Like 10 shots of the main actor doing super model turns and looks over shoulder and they put more effort into his hair than anything else. Didn't show how they prepared at all. Raft is rotting and rope is breaking so he throws wire into the ocean because he's so confident nothing will happen? he never gives reasons why the trip will work, he just acts like an arrogant prick when someone asks and points out he is wrong. Did he even consider that maybe only 10% that made that journey before survived? 83/77% on rottentomatoes. 10,000+ ratings! Why do people suck so fucking much?

>>216534373Just a reminder that the lead dude of that expedition was comically racist and literally supported nazism
>>216534398it's based on a real story dumbass. it doesn't have to be completely realistic, but it shouldn't be completely fucking RETARDED
>>216534419Wasn't he some Swedish chud who wanted to prove that the original white inhabitants of the new world could have colonized Polynesia from their home in Peru?
>>216534419>>216534480seems like reasons that critics would hate this movie. so why did everyone love it?
>>216534419he fought nazis you dumbass>Haugland had fought the invading Nazis at the battle of Narvik in 1940 and then, while pretending to be a typical worker at an Oslo radio factory, took a leading role in the anti-Nazi resistance, training radio operators and setting up secret transmitters.
