Millenial here, this shit wasn't for us. It was for gen-z. The Star Wars Prequel Trilogy and Harry Potter were for us. Shit like Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Divergent and Twilight were explicitly for first wave Gen-Z.

Just the once. Everything the writer did after the initial trilogy was been prequels. I'm not a huge fan of prequels because there's usually zero stakes because you know the future but at least she's not done a sequel that just resets or invalidates the original material.
