Hey 4channers, it's been a while. I didn't really miss you guys that much quite frankly. -.- Anyway, what do you think of the show Pluribus? I think Carol is pretty cool because she wants to find the truth of her situation even if everyone else wants to accept it or indulge in distractions. What would you do in her situation? Would you keep trying to expose the truth to people who don't really care?

Okay. I haven't seen last week's episode yet mind you.
I'd like to think I wouldn't be tempted to exploit the hivemind for my personal gain like the other characters in the show besides Carol and the Spanish hermit.
I think the human race is a scourge on this planet, seeing how we treat animals, destroy nature for profit, and are constantly seeking to destroy those we perceive as weaker.
One of my greatest fears is that we start exporting our violent nature to other planets once we figure out how to colonize them. In the show Carol is able to cause the death of millions of people by her emotional outbursts, so I might try and exploit that to eradicate the human race, simply in the interest of harm reduction.
I know the hivemind doesn't seem to be violent at this moment, but who knows how it'll behave in the future. People also might recover, so taking the opportunity while there's a chance might be the wisest thing to do.
After that, heroin for a few weeks, then suicide.

Ya it was interesting how some wished to exploit the hivemind. Maybe they are not entirely at fault because they are used to the exploitative nature of the world. But I feel like it's nice of Carol that she is not as interested in those values. It's brave of her that she is trying to do the right thing :) Thank you for your reply, you seem very smart and empathetic!

No. Just wait for it to end and have chatgpt summarize it. I'm watching it weekly and it could have just been a fucking 2 hour movie.

I duh heard a rumor dat da plurbs mutate in dis one

How much of a role does her lesbianism play in the show? Is it barely mentioned or is it front and center?
>>
with no one else around to whitness the personal gain there really is no personal gain at all since its just you

he came from nothing in moratania

the hivemind is braindead its probally collective guilt that makes them obsessevally vegan its funny the joining is actually a neuriotypicals idea ov heaven they can be accpected by the herd

carol is a intelelizer its why she is so resistant she is also a author and she is aware of this trope

Barely matters. Her girlfriend dies in the first episode, and while the hivemind does try to manipulate Carol by sending this female potential love interest to be around her a lot, the story is not written in a way where the gender really matters.

I can't point to anything I particularly like about it but at the same time I want to watch it. It's not like TWD where I'm forcing myself to watch it though. I kind of look forward to it.

i watched the opening 2 episodes on release
found it slow and didn't think the premise was that interesting enough to schedule for weekly watches
might binge the rest at some point depending on reception but so far, it sounds like i made the right decision
