They still have time to not drop hundreds of millions of dollars in marketing, they can still stop work and not have to pay workers that are not contractually obligated to be paid, they can still pull the same tax write off bullshit that WB did with batgirl, it would seem like a huge loss at first but imagine having to go through with secret wars after doomsday makes $600 million in total at the box office. And they have to know this is not just a possibility but a likelihood.

This movie will have problems because it's trying to fit 3 movies into 2.They want to do Civil War>Infinity War>Endgame again by having the different avengers teams (blacktain america's fake avengers and the gov "real" avengers that Bucky leads) and have them not wanna work together etc which leads to doom winning then secret wars but the rivalry between Steve and Tony was like 8 years in the making by the time endgame came out so it felt earned.That said I'll be happy for an entire movie of Doom BTFOing new DEI post-endgame characters for 2.5 hours.
