Why dont we discuss a good show instead like Devs
>>216580007that show ended 10 years ago anon
>>216579970>Cow
>>216580002Me too. I only continue watching this show so I can shitpost with you guys.
>>216579970Simple solution to the hive: Kidnap 1 plurb, tell them they have one week to unplurb the world or you will get angry causing worldwide psychic damage.
>>216579970MOOOOO>>216579997Cope and seeth, NERD
>>216578945carol does not want the hive backshe just wants people backthe hive is all she has to turn tobut it won't make her feel any better
>>216580019~5 years thank you
>>216579970bad cgihttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoemgZmUB60
>>216579970With all the crazy things that are going on this is going to go down as one of the best sci-fi shows of all time.So many happenings are going to happen in the next two episodes, I can't keep up!
>>216580077i rounded up :^)
being in a hive mind doesnt sound that bad, i mean, am i wrong? it seems strange but comfyi dont think the plurb can be unplurbed though
>>216580048you sound like you have a very fulfilling life
>>216580112It has been confirmed by Carol there is a way to unplurb the world. She nearly killed the pirate plurb trying to find out how.
I'm almost two days late to this but Carol waiting for the big ass firework cannon to hit her in the face reminded me of Chuck's death.Almost bravo Vince this time.
The show should have been split between Carol, Manousos and Diabete. Everything Carol related definitely could have been trimmed down to the screentime of 3 or 4 episodes, making her still definitively the main character but removing the need to endlessly pad things out. Diabete fucking around and slowly cracking from how fake everything is and Manousos cozily driving through a surreal apocalyptic world while creepy plurbs repeatedly try to temp him definitely should have gotten more screentime, he's by far the best part of the series so far.
>>216579991>wouldn't oflmao retard!!! who's the wrong one nowIn terms of what the plurb leaving her accomplished for the story, it was completely pointless. Sure it gave her the opportunity to find out that they're eating humans, but the other immunes learned the same thing without needing to do what she did, and then no one cares about it anyway. Completely inconsequential. The plurb leaving, staying away, and coming back used up three episodes.
>>216580155Would that have actually killed her btw? I'm not an american I don't know much about fireworks, obviously it would fuck her face up
>>216580155chuck's death surprised me, fire/smoke inhalation is an awful way to go
I hope Carol gets infected at the end of the season and Manusos becomes the main protagonist in Season 2.
>>216579970>herd animal living in solitude>just like carolBRAVO VINCE not
>>216580163also the Manousos travel episode could have been a great way to worldbuild and show wtf Plurbs in isolated villages and such are even DOING but they just glossed over that.
>>216580065Why wouldn't this work?
>>216580094you rascal!
>>216580171i think she knew it wouldn't kill her. maybe it was an attempt to force the hive back without her having to ask for them.
what are we watching after Pluribus? since it's probably gonna end on a cliffhanger after only I think I want a show that tells a complete story with a decent amount of episodes, considering this show.
>>216580185because as of yet none of the immunes are willing to kill millions of the hive drones to get answers
>>216580171yeah probably, not a very efficient method of suicide though. like most suicide attempts by women, it was just a pathetic cry for attention.
>>216580172Chuck was a cunt. So was Howard. Jimmy did nothing wrong (except confessing at the end).
>>216580149but think of it like this, if the hive mind is broken, i wake up to find out i have been drinking people, body is probably sick from lack of nutrition, i also seem to be able to REMEMBER everything, infrastructure for farming is completely wrecked, people will starve.the plurb is an extinction event one way or the otherTHAT SAID, this is one of the most stupid hive minds in fictionAPPLES are literally made for eating by plants, why would an alien virus care about the native ecosphere? it makes more sense if it was a native Gaia mind
I'm just going to say. This show is fucking stupid on multiple levels. "Oh breaking bad S1 was also shitty and slow!!" Okay yeah, it's true to a degree, but by the same point we are at now, breaking bad had already developed a lot and exhumed a lot of charm and humor. Pluribus could still end up being great if it takes different turns or if there is significant payoff for all of the exposition. I have no doubt that Vince could deliver. But even if he does, it won't retroactively make S1 great, it would be great in spite of it. S1 is annoying as fuck and so far the basic premise of the show is lame.
>>216580171Maybe not instantaneously, would have probably been a slow death like Manousos due to burn injuries.
>>216580229i liked all of the characters and wished they could all have had a happy endingbetter call saul was better than breaking bad
>>216580229Everything you said in your post is wrong except for Chuck being a cunt, he mostly was
>>216580231I don't think the unplurbed would retain the hive memories. Not only is it way too much to fit into a single head but since your personality is created by your memories an unplurb who remembers the hive would not be the person they once were
>>216580172It was sudden yet had a perfect built-up to it.Him tearing down his own house was kino too.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3vrzytrBAE
>>216580169them leaving was to make carol realize she's in the wrong and that she needs to stop harming people, and her behavior ties into the other immunes knowing about the cannibalism before her because diabetes wanted to include her but by majority vote she was deemed too toxic of a person to be includedthe plurbs wanted to make her realize she was doing bad things which they ended up fully accomplishingso againyour wrong
>>216580247Howard was a jerk to Kim for no reason. And he was a jerk to Jimmy because Chuck ordered him to. And then he forced Chuck to retire and kill himself. He doesn't get to be at peace and move on just cause he does some meditation. I'm glad he ended where he did.
>>216580163Oh neat my screenshot with offset subtitle timings got saved. He spent the whole time in his storage unit office so there isn't much to show other than him scanning every radio station until he left.
it's a good show okay you guys just don't enjoy photography that's ok but for me every frame is art
>>216580266>defending a guy with a NAMAST3 license plateI stood up and applauded when he got shot in the head.
>>216580266but they were brothers! what could have been. that's why bcs was so good.>>216580272yes it was>>216580276i liked howard and kim but i liked howard slightly better

>>216580294literally the modern Kubrick
>>216580271So the harem shouldnt remember getting raped? What about anyone who helped grind people down? Every single person can't be themselves, it's a mix of everyone, how to know the right thing will go to the right place, every neuron has been working together, if anything their minds would be fried.
>>216579970The episodes are increasingly becoming more time-filler as this goes along. There's very little story going on here.
>>216579997>>216580030>that is a bison not a cowFemale bison are called cows. You can tell if the base of the horn is more than twice the diameter of the eye. Also, they weren't talking about the bison!

So what's going to happen when Carol starts raping err I mean sleeping with Zosia, is she just going to give up?Like I have this girl I can rape err I mean romance now so everything is okay?Like Mr. Diabetes?
>>216580007>good show>devs
>>216580487she will do it for pure reasons (she is actualy in love with the plurb) and not for low iq hedonism so it's ok
>>216580290You could show him initially finding out about the plurbs, barricading himself in in panic, more about rationing supplies, plurbs in the form of various people from his life trying to tempt him out, etc. Really though the journey north could get a lot more screentime than it did
>>216580487no carol will spin out and devolve further mentally i don't think she gets with zosia
>>216580543>she is actualy in love with the plurbwasn't she screeching and abusing it not long agohow can one go from that to love in such a fast pace
>>216580461Imperial Japan did nothing wrong
>>216580579By now she has gotten past the death of her wife (women are fast to grief like that) so now she's ready for a new chapter in her life
Listen, plurbs are evil. They are animals and only imitate human speech and behavior insofar as they can manipulate us into helping fulfill their biological imperative. There is no negotiation with them. They are monsters that need to be put down. Nothing more, nothing less.
>>216580598It was about jews all along
>>216580327The harem was never raped, because the women no longer exist in their pre-plurbed form. Same way that fucking a corpse is not rape cause there is no person whose consent you can violate. The plurb gave it's consent for the sexual use of it's bodies.Only way you could construe it as rape is if the plurbed are traped in their own bodies, still experiencing everything the plurb does with them, unable to affect anything.
>>216580598>*burns a perfectly good car*
I accidentally made myself fall in love with Zosia. Fucking hell.
>>216580598For Plurb sake. Can you calm down?
>>216580633That's right. Unlike the plurbs, humans can exercise free will to such a large degree that we can even destroy. Meanwhile the plurbs can't even pick fruit to save themselves for starving. They are not human.
>>216580593america hasn't made good tv in over 10 years
>>216580625It's rape, no doubt about it. A human isn't just the mind but the body too, the body is still working. I imagine the plurbing has to work like anesthesia locally, shutting off the mind and using resources to run whatever their process is, but the body remains. The body alone can act and remember>>216580691the return and mr robot were the last kinos
>carol half of the episode: 2/10>manousos half of the episode: 9/10i hate women so much bros
>>216580461>>216580691Made for IJA cock
>>216580646this man will chop her head off with a machete
>>216580625>The plurb gave it's consent for the sexual use of it's bodies>it's bodies>it's
>>216580595>time to turn the page for a new chapter of rape>dear diary, today I raped her in the rotunda>after that I requested the plurb slaves make us lunch>then I raped her in the guest bathroom>I asked her if she liked it, she didn't answer but I knew she did>tomorrow we are going to take the rolls and I will be raping her on a long weekend getaway>just the two of us, she has no choice but I know she would want to
Manousos is a fucking retard, he could have taken a boat and done that part of the trip by sea, there is 0 reasons to try to hike through that area
>>216580653It's a next step for humanity. We were tiktaaliks at some point. Should we go back to the water then too? Since what he was doing was affront to vertebrates everywhere? Drink your bone marrow milk.
>>216580776You are soulless, he has to do it on his own because he is human.
>>216580595>fast to grief like that
>>216580776He couldn't afford a boat
>>216580776taken a boat? do you have any idea of long the darien gap is by boat?you can't make that gap in a simple motor or sail boat
>>216580776he doesn't own a boat
55 miles is not that far, he could have just swam around the gap
>>216580625>Your honor>Technically that person could not be raped>They were unconscious and in a dream>Therefore, at the time of the rape, they were not in their body>The body gave its consent for the sexual use and responded appropriately>Yet the person was not there to experience it>Therefore it was not rape>I rest my case
>>216580802WRONG.A hive mind is a masturbatory concept, entertaining but if anything, true evolution is radiation, humanity into more and more specialized people and eventually bodies.Look at the plurb, it cant do shit, its hopeless, its going to kill off the only intelligent species on earth because its completely a baby. In fact this is why any actual moral person would have stabbed Diabete and the others, they have to die.
......does the plurb have an age of consent? asking for a friend
>>216580802>could have been peacefully swimming in the ocean>have to wageslave for jews insteadthanks tiktfaggot
>>216580872If we really think about it no, if it's ok with turning kids into milk, it would be ok with that too. Which is why you have to kill the plurbs, make them experience their bs until all of them die or they go away.
>>216580872Maybe the plurb isn't so bad
this generals are more gay than ever lately or im tripping?
>>216580853Damn, so Plurb will exhaust resources of the planet and will fuck off to colonize other ones on a beam shot into space? That's fucked up. Hey, what's humanity's long-term plan when it exhausts the resources of the planet? Seems like plurb and beans are doing the same thing. Plurb the Great is just better and more efficient at it.
>kidnap plurb>torture itWtf is plurbie gonna do?
>>216580935Go into cardiac arrest to cease that body's pain and suffering judging by episode 4.
>>216580896The plurb must have some way of compartmentalizing what the individuals feel. The airplane pilots can't be thinking about water treatment while they're flying planes. The plurb can't possible be constantly experiencing the agonizing starvation of millions of people. Zosia can't be feeling Diabete rawdogging his harem in her plussy while Carol is confiding to her about conversion camp.
>>216580007That show is among the most abominable trash I've ever seen
>>216580924There is literally nothing to discuss because nothing happened in the previous episode. Somehow a show that is all filler had an actual genuine filler episode lmao
Pluribussy
I don't understand. Why Ashley boettcher is not in the show. She's a christian boycotted by hollywood ( she doesn't want to be nude on camera ).It's a show about christianism but no christian actress like Ashley boettcher. That retarded.
>>216580827That sort of also implies that, even if he had made it through, he was going to walk the rest of the way to the USA.
>>216580987>nothing happened in the previous episode. >Somehow a show that is all filler had an actual genuine filler episode lmaotold you so
>>216580849I see your point. But the difference here is that the plurb supplants the original mind, and we have no idea what remains of the original.Imagine if your mind were to cease existing, and magically a new one took it's place with a different personality. If that second person then had sex with someone using what was previously your body, could it be said that you were raped?
>>216580926It exhausts the resources of the planet for a non sense goal that's not native to the species, and not natural to the species. Humanity, art, culture, etc is the sweet part of the deal that needs the bad part, technology, war and and expansion. You can't get one without the other. When we think of space, colonization, we want the former out there, individual human lives looking up at the stars. The plurb is inhuman, you know what the plurb is, a gay version of the thing hereRead the short story about the thing by peter watts, THIS IS WHY i find it laughable that the plurb cares about consent now, it only came to be by attacking individuality.https://clarkesworldmagazine.com/watts_01_10/
>>216581013cars and bikes are cheaper than boats. he could buy one>walk in>leave money on the counter>drive awayjust like he paid for gasoline
>>216581063he's going to pay with a foreign currency?
>>216580977Maybe not. It could be a different level of consciousness that can do those things at the same time without a problem.

If it wasnt for manousos i would have dropped this show 4 episodes ago.Nobody wants to see carol being a white woman
>>216581040>goal that's not native to the species15-hour gooning sessions to sissy hypno porn are also not native to animals we descended from, yet we are doing it anyway. You are a trilobite (or whatever ancestor humanity had millions of years ago) looking at a spaceship and saying "what the fuck is this? this wasn't the thing in my time!" Unc, go home to your family, the future is Plurbing.
>>216581160Who do we know who loves staring at white women? Apple TV is trying to increase their Indian viewership.

>>216581232its going to be the postercarol looking up and screamingwhat is she looking up at?they already confirmed that's a shot from the show
>>216581109>what about those people that are brain dead in hospitalsYes, I am saying that is not rape, because there is no consent to violate. It's still a vile act and society will rightfully judge and condemn you for it.I suppose you couldn't classify it as necrophilia since the body is technically alive.
>>216580735Every time I see this image I burst into laughter, thanks for ruining such a tense moment, anons.
>>216581294well luckily society doesn't care what you think because you're fucked up in the head
>>216580625you can’t consent if you are plurbed, because you lose your individuality. your brain stops being “yours” so to speak.without consent, it’s rape.I doubt the sex pest could be sentenced for it, due to the circumstances, even if he didn’t die (which he will, probably in this season), but it’s still rape.
>Episode 9 is called 'the girl or the world'Manu is gonna kill Zosia isn't he?
>>216581344The Plurb consented.
>>216581351no, she's going to whore herself out and have sex with all the men in the world
>>216581040love seeing a reference to The Things, really great short story not just for how well it explains The Thing coherently but also it's just better than his usual writing in like rifters or blindsight/echopraxia imo.
They imply being immune is a genetic thing but all the immune are very diverse ethnically
>>216581443so?
>>216581443they never implied that
>>216581390but the plurb isn’t you. if you fall, get brain damage and suddenly wake up in the middle of getting plowed in the asshole by some one like Diabate, but apparently “you” consented, it’s not like he hasn’t exploited your lapse of consciousness, which would have prevented you from giving consent.of course, in this situation Diabate wouldn’t be able to tell that “you” isn’t really “you”. he knows for certain the plurb isn’t the people though.
unearned
>>216581500that's sexual assault
>>216581500not sure what you mean.it was a weird episode though. it basically showed that Carol’s motivation wasn’t actually to do what’s right, but to avoid getting plurbed herself.and the scene where she breaks down in front of the plurb is sad, because the plurb has won - she can’t be alone, even if the alternative is just a facade of being with others.
it's going to be amusing when years from now most people will finally realize that the only actually good part of the show is Manousos
>>216581620did you use AI to make this?
>>216581599I think it's a shame they showed her completely rudderless and without a plan. She was so motivated there for a while
>>216581627People are realising that now
>>216581599And also, she chooses to be with the thing that she directly blamed for Helen's death just a little earlier.Has she now forgiven them for that, or something?
>>216581630The plurb made it for me
>all you need to break a woman and have her betray everything she said she believes in is give her no attention for a monthThis show is getting dangerously based
>>216581599>Carol’s motivation wasn’t actually to do what’s right, but to avoid getting plurbed herself>why does ego make people care about thingsyea why is that
>>216581667I think she's just lonely so she's going to tone it down a bit. She will still work against the plurbs but won't do anything like drugging them for information so they don't abandon her again
>>216581040speaking of it being a gay version of the thing there, more attention should really be getting placed on them sending Zosia purely due to knowing she'd be sexually attractive to Carol, or implausibly sending so many plurbs around Manousos and making sure they're dressed and placed in a mimicry of human life. Both are very mindful attempts at manipulation and arguably are states of deception compared to acting completely naturally -- and yet they also don't actually have a deeper "soul" or full sapience in the ways that'd clearly make them know what might be ineffective around Carol or Manousos. There's something very wrong with the nature of their apparent consciousness far deeper than some mere super-autism, and we see it in moments even as small as Zosia just spouting off trivia as if that was natural or going to be effective with Carol then.
>>216581666Dude omg, what if the plurb is like a metaphor for AI? Has anyone thought of that holy shit

I suppose it’s a metaphor for the meaning real art has - the human element of it. but then, her taking it sort of goes against everything she criticised Diabate for.maybe the rest of the season will be Carol’s downfall, exposing how by becoming more comfortable, she lost sight of what’s really going on, and what really should be done - she will slowly become like the rest of the retards (except for Mansous)?>>216581662leaving her completely alone like that is a form of torture. so she already gave up after only 30 days isolation?normie.my guess is she will be on the verge of saying yes to the hive operation and in that moment the mexican guy arrives and stops her from joining.
Just watched the latest episode. It ends as soon as it starts. I thought to myself "no way is the episode gonna be him going to see Carol". Including the predictable rescue. They're now gauging people's interest in the show, to see how many season they can stretch it for.
I was thinking that she might follow a drone to see where it was coming from to try and find the plurbs. Oh well.
>>216582114Yeah, it's not as abrupt as it seems if you dig into the arc, anon. Carol's been solo in Albuquerque for months post-cataclysm, her journal in eps 5-6 reveals the mounting paranoia and futility hive mind's beaten her to every lead, unaffected folks don't give a damn anymore, and isolation's eroding her will. By "The Gap" (Ep 7), she's at rock bottom: knows plurbs need consent to convert, so she stocks fireworks and supplies, but that 30-day "pause" is pure burnout and despair, not apathy. Gilligan's signature psych realism slow erosion like Walt's early denial in BB, forcing her to confront if fighting's worth it when the world's "fine" in the hive.Manousos ain't some random ESL autist; he's a Paraguayan survivor (accent's from that, adds gritty outsider edge) trekking from South America to NM, learning English diligently to connect, denying hive temptations with Christ-like persistence. His Ep 7 journey delayed by a near-fatal accident, dialogue-light with howling winds and raw determination proves resistance is possible. Their intersection isn't convenience; it's that vital human spark in apocalypse: shared unaffected status, intel on safe zones/churches, reigniting her purpose via genuine connection. Esquire calls it her "point of no return," IGN praises the beautiful lows and acting rewatch her Vegas drive-back and reserve-testing; the buildup's there. Pluribus excels at this nuanced emotional depth over plot dumps.

>>216582222You are mentally retarded
>>216582034oh ok. I didn’t watch/read AOT. that would be more like Mansous though, I think.Carol seems to represent something else.I believe she was just a hurt person, who didn’t like the rest of the world very much, and it didn’t like her back either (as a person). that’s probably due to how she was perceived as a lesbian, or how she believed she was being perceived. nevertheless, she was still in a kind of social relationship with that world - her antisocial attitude was still a part of the larger fabric of society. when everyone became the plurb, she was essentially ripped out of that social dependency. she hated a world that didn’t hate her back - her plight for retaining her individuality was a sham, because she was never an “individual” in the first place.now, Mansous is another thing entirely. he seems like someone actually deeply hurt by the world, which caused him to reject it outright, even before it became the way it is. he’s doing through all this (probably) because he has a plurbed son, who is the only person in this world Mansous actually cares about.

>>216582342>perfect shot of the gatorade in frame with Carol and the cop car in the background I actually would have respected Vince if it dropped normally and he didn't cave in to the obvious "front and center with the logo highly visible" demands of product placement
>>216579970did nobody ever teach Manousos that you can siphon without sucking on the tube by just putting your thumb on top? Even in the worst case you can literally just use a second piece of tubing and some cloth and blow on ur second piece to create positive pressure until it self-siphons, it's way better not just for avoiding the abbo gas station experience but also because you won't waste any fuel this way. Not even asking that to be like "lol dumb!!!" but half-wondering if this is remotely common knowledge.
sometimes when i'm doing something mundane, i imagine it as a long drawn out scene from a vince gilligan show. how do i start making gilligan core?
How can the plurb run the world without killing anything? Surely even digging up natural resources kills some plant and animal life. What about bacteria? That's alive so they can't even wash their hands. They will all die from some easily cured infection at this rate
>>216582456there must be more to the process of the virus. the hosts will eventually die and something else will come or they will...mutate as has been rumored
Im about to watch the newest plurbI feel like im going to skip about 60% of the scenes again.
>>216582456it's probably just a case of lazy midwit writers there given that Zosia sure as shit was not surviving her surgery after the grenade sent lots of wood shrapnel into her *and* then a heart attack recovery shortly after if she wasn't getting care in a sterilized operating room. Wood fragments can be nasty for infections, same as there was probably some glass from the windows. >>216582506you'll not skip even a single moment of Manousos / Paraguy
>>216582456It does not make sense, the same way veganism or vegetarianism do not make sense if you think about it for more than 5 minutes. In the real world its just virtue signalling and plain idiocy, plurb hivemind should know better
>>216582402>product placementWTF. Now I want to buy a Rolls.
>the best episode so far is the lowest ratedThe great filtering is starting.
>>216582427They do this shit in TWD all the time too. Drives me nuts. I think they just prefer it that way, to get bukkaked in the face with gasoline every time.
>>216582274>I believe she was just a hurt person, who didn’t like the rest of the world very much, and it didn’t like her back either (as a person). that’s probably due to how she was perceived as a lesbian, or how she believed she was being perceived. nevertheless, she was still in a kind of social relationship with that world - her antisocial attitude was still a part of the larger fabric of society. when everyone became the plurb, she was essentially ripped out of that social dependency. she hated a world that didn’t hate her back - her plight for retaining her individuality was a sham, because she was never an “individual” in the first place.her plight is as real to her as the death of her wife. everything you described is her ego against the world before and after the hive mind. it's who she is and can't be changed. that ego is what motivates her to go against it. instead of taking advantage of everything or coping as the other immunes have. the other immunes disliking who she is and excluding her, as the world pre-hive seemed to do, is not enough to supplicate her social dependence or her need to feel bitter about how others perceive her. whether through her need for misery or because she is unable to be happy either way, her ego is the only thing to make her care at all.
>>216582427common knowledge to who, criminals?
>>216582498the plurb might just be a parasite.if the goal really is to make the plurb an allegory for AI, then it would make sense to have it leech off of genuine human ingenuity, creation and society, and stall progress entirely, because it can’t contribute anything new. it can only take what already exists and recombine it to sustain itself (like with the meat, plants and dead people).
>>216582530Come to think of it even the shower they gave Zosia in the first episode probably killed something.
>>216582456Even processing dead human meat would kill something. Bacteria living in your gut for one thing.
the haters have a point with how boring this show can be. There's a difference between a slow paced show and one that wastes your fucking time and this one is seriously towing the line. I'll watch it no matter what though because I'm sexually attracted to Vince
i really hope after this that vince makes a 40 hour movie called "nothing ever happens" that's just hours of footage of the desert
If pirate lady turns up on day 40 something, what day was peru guy picked up in the jungle?
>>216582717TO WHAT? TO WHO?
>>216582262No you are
>>216582717>>216582760Carol really should have defeated the plurb in a massive CGI battle by episode 3, then by episode 7 she should be battling the space werewolves that the aliens send to kill her. Season ends with her killing the werewolf king but them teasing that alien vampires are descending upon Albuquerque We live in an ADHD culture and don't have time for character dramas
>>216579970This is another LOST 100% confirmed. No endgame in mind. Sucks.
>>216582585a big part of her ego was the idea of being self-sufficient, at least within some larger social structure. the plurb is what completely strips her of her ego - she spends the whole episode struggling to realise her imagined ideal of independency. the end of the episode, where she ultimately caves in and calls out to the plurb to come back, is the ultimate manifestation of this. she is forced to admit that she is nothing without others, even though she was convinced the opposite was the case.
>>216582804There is no drama and there is no character. this show has nothing but a vague idea, its a draft of a tvshow
Look. Let's say it is BCS episode 7 and you are watching weekly. Are you calling it a masterpiece? No, you're probably complaining that is is slow as hell, where is walter and jesse with their explosions? Why so much screen time for this mid girl? But then by season 6 it is the best TV series you have ever seen.THAT is what we all should be anticipating.
>>216582581on the flipside now that you mention the bukkake you made me remember that great scene from Fury Road when they're spitting starter fluid or gas or something into the intake like retarded psychos.>>216582639And while discussions can be made about what's more or less avoidable and they clearly have some kind of ethical system in which they weigh actions (as we do, merely with vastly different and more alien ethics)... ANY plant life down to fruits meant to be eaten or annual / biennal / etc. crops that naturally genetically will die on a brief timer... it's just an inconsistent and bizarre standard. Like oh yeah we're cool killing insects on accident and (probably) cool killing bacteria on purpose, but crops that actively don't even need their life cycle interfered with? Oh yeah we can't do that.like dude, if you take a random fucking frozen or even just refrigerated steak, your chances are very good that it is still significantly alive. I'm not joking, same as even the picked fruits and vegetables they're willing to process are still alive or have significant portions that are alive depending on your standards. If they have the (more-or-less) full scope of humanity in them, they'd actively know this and not even be able to process almost ANY food because it'd still involve killing living cells early; conversely if they're okay with ending active life in something that's doomed to die soon... most food crops that humans enjoy are already doomed to die soon as part of their natural life cycle. And meanwhile just releasing, say, all the chickens on earth is just releasing a couple tens of billions of birds to mostly die *right now* in horribly anguished ways, something they even kinda mention with taking care of some of the existing domesticated animals. It's just profoundly inconsistent and ill thought out.
>>216582864yes and this is the same case for manousos collapsing in the jungle.yet it doesn't change the fact that their egos are the only thing driving them to care about fixing the world back to how it was.
Holy fuck, episode 7 was SHIT
>>216582872then you're filtered, it happensI have no desire to watch the Real Housewives or Bluey because those shows aren't made for me. I don't spend every day on Bluey messageboards going "WHO THE HELL IS WATCHING THIE SHIT???"There's a new season of Stranger Things on Netflix with plenty of drama and action as the kids once again try to fight some demon thing, I think that's more your speed
>>216582872it’s a character study. it’s supposed to be a nuanced analysis of a person’s psyche. the drama is Carol struggling with her surroundings and with herself. even then we get frantic hospital rides, grenade explosions, wild wolves (which I’m convinced aren’t wild) John Cena PSAs and Bond-like casino showdowns.
The cope when this show gets cancelled after 2 seasons with no real ending is gonna be hilarious
>>216582809lost was better than any tv of the decade with the exception of twin peaks
>>216582373hnnnnnnggggghhh
>>216582698No you're still thinking with far too limited scope; even most things you think of as dead aren't actually completely dead, especially if they've been kept cool and mostly intact. You can literally grab meat from a grocery store and a significant portion of cells will still be alive. Let alone fruit and veggies that can easily be argued to just be completely alive when edible except if processed in specific ways. That's before we get into the difference between Soil and Dirt if we wanted to stick to your more bacterial or fungal persppective, and one becomes aware they walk outside upon mountains of life-and-death.
>>216582897I don’t think it’s the same with Manousos, because he explicitly rejected the plurb’s help every step of the way. Carol gets them to provide her with food, service etc. all the time. she has the plurb fly her out and back, spread her videotapes, all of that.Manousos I reckon will be pissed when he wakes up in the hospital and realises he’d been saved and transported to the US by the plurb.
>>216582211kys plurb
>>216582931kill yourselfmr robot season 2 is slow done right and a real filterthis show is slop
>>216583012>because he explicitly rejected the plurb’s help every step of the wayand carol refused to play nice and fix her attitude to make her life easier like the other immunes have.
>>216582938it's not a very good character study so far and it has zero nuance
>>216582963yeah the hating on lost is weird. I'm not a big fan of it, but for something I do like more of look at BSG. Battlestar galactica (the '04 one) is just flat out great, it has acting and writing in the first 2 seasons that, while it can sometimes miss, is by far usually punching way over its weight class and has some truly fantastic material. Now, you can take that and just go "WAHHHHH THE THIRD SEASON HAS A FEW MORE MISSES AND THEN THE FOURTH HAS A SHITTY ENDING!!!", or you can just cut off the piece that has some mold and enjoy what's good. It's so weird when people would rather hate on things that can be great because they aren't all perfect, rather than treating them as motivation to create even better things by learning from those mistakes while appreciating the good.
>>216583047then go watch mr robot nobody is forcing you to watch a show you don't enjoy so you can endlessly bitch about it on the internet
my hope is that mano still rejects the plurb and manages to walk out of the jungle by himself
>>216582809Lost rules, Pluribus sucks but not for the retarded reasons why you hate it
>>216583171He'll heal up in a hospital and ask them to drop him back into the jungle at the same exact spot.
>>216580007>Cailee's face and ass. >pixie haircut >its too powerfull
>>216583241hmm he's still cheating then, run wouldn't count
>>216583171Time lines wouldn't match up, he needs to meet with Carol for the final, he'd be driving through mexico midway through season 2 otherwise.
>>216583271they can spend episode 8 on another driving montage
>>216583265Yeah he has to walk back to where he was and carry on from there
>>216583271they could do a time skip showing zosia settling in to the role as carol's "partner" so by the time mano arrives they've spent months as a domestic "couple"
>>216582931Except that this show is incredibly dishonest and attempted to market itself as a sci-fi in the first episode which it is not. So it deserves to get shat on.
Would you pork the plurb?
>>216582804allow me to clarify my friend. My issue isn't that the stuff that happens is itself boring persay, but rather that many of the individual shots and scenes linger for too long without doing much to reinforce the story or themes, especially in the interim between major plot points. Of course my beloved stallion Vince is no stranger to the slow burn, and I am hopeful he will provide us with the payoff we deserve. I still like the show thus far but I'm not gonna lie and say that I'm captivated with nearly every moment like I was with BB

>>216583339that's every Vince show. Breathtaking panoramic shots of South America are more interesting than a 5-minute montage of Jimmy getting Cinnabon ready for the dayI honestly think S1 of BB was slower and more tedious than Pluribus, way too much time spent moping about Walt's cancer. Thankfully Vince realized that drug lording was more compelling than Walt & Skylar having another doctor's appointment so they can look sad
all of you are in denial about liking this show because it’s from Bince
>>216583451that distracted handjob in episode 1 of BB still haunts me

>>216583366Thing of the plurb, they are supposed to be the collective knowledge of mankind, but comes of as naive, gives lukewarm non offensive answers, locks up when pressured to do or say something offensive. Are shown to have 0 autonony to the point of starving themselvesWhat do you think they represent?
>>216583504Mano could be
>>216583504Why? There's plenty to go around
I heard a rumor that in the last episode we are going to get a POV shot of plurbs and it is going to show what they are up to, indicating that they are not quite human anymore and starting to mutate.

>look up the real spiny palm trees they have in central america>they look nothing like the ones in the showBravo
Are the plurbs telepathic? If so can they connect to Carol? If they can't connect to Carol then how are they weak to her psychic attacks?
>>216583577the virus attunes your brain to a specific radio frequency so no Carol cannot be mindfucked
plurb will put mano in a lose lose situation where he has to save carol from plurbing or the rest of humanitythe way to unplurb everyone is to block the radio signaluntil in season 2 it's revealed there is another way they have to use carol's eggs
>>216580007A shame she looks like this now
>>216583572yeah someone probably ordered too few spikes and they had to get creative

I AM NOT ONE OF THEM, I WISH TO SAVE THE WORLD. MY NAME IS MANOUSOS OVIEDO. I AM NOT ONE OF THEM, I WISH TO SAVE THE WORLD. MY NAME IS MANOUSOS OVIEDO. I AM NOT ONE OF THEM, I WISH TO SAVE THE WORLD.
>>216580184Why would they be there? It's likely most of the world is just abandoned and the plurbs are mostly concentrated in places where they're productive.
>>216583572they look exactly like that, you fucking retard
>>216583577my two theories is the human minds are being kept in some type of stasis separate from the hive minds and whenever carol flips out it reaches themthe other theory is that the hive fakes it to manipulate carol
>>216581500the whole episode is a setup so carol can end up looking like the wholesome girlboss at the end of the season, the episode ends up looking like she surrendered to the plurbening, but it's all part of the keikaku, BRAVO VINCE WOMEN CAN BE BADASSES TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

>>216583643>but it's all part of the keikaku(translators note: "keikaku" means "plan")
Either the Plurbs broke Carol via isolation, or Carol is playing the long game and pretending to be broken in order to defeat the Plurbs.Which is the more interesting prospect?

So she's doing the same.
>>216583678>jokes on you, plurb>i was merely pretending to be lonely and depressed
>>216583678considering the next episode is called "the charm offensive", it seems like Carol's just trying the carrot instead of the stick (maybe literally, if she has plurb sex with Zoshia)
>>216583683>fuck this show honestlypersonally I enjoy the comfyness of nothing happening but there better be some sort of payout at the end
>>216583718there wont be. its very obvious this season ends on a cliffhanger and it will be a 2+ year wait
>>216583643what she gonna do? drug zosia again?
>>216583718the payout was John Cena delivering a PSA about ethical cannibalism, that made it all worth it
>>216582781I think the journey from paraguay to the gap is around 4500 km so 3-4 days with a car and a few more days in the jungle so maybe one week or two?
>>216583564There's some people talking about it on social media.Supposed to tie in with the poster shot of Carol looking up and screaming or something. There's going to be a big gotcha to draw viewers in for the second season, bigger that the söylent green angle.
>>216583718>personally I enjoy the comfyness of nothing happeningSame. It's not as much "nothing happening" as it is exploring the boundaries of the sci-fi premise. There's three characters with different priorities. I'm just waiting for the survivors to get into conflict, as they effectively have world power in their hands without quite realizing it. They can nuke some continents if they want to.
>>216583624yeah but we see that some of the places the plurbs are concentrated in are just bumfuck villages that Manousos drove through. As you said, why would they be there?

>>216583761aliens aren't coming, the plurbs aren't evolving into them, if you're looking for some big monster reveal you're going to be sorely disappointed
>>216583764Because they were tracking Manousos? Like they constantly kept popping up because they had drones or satellites or something following him. We're only seeing this through his eyes, those places would probably just be abandoned otherwise.
>>216583718>personally I enjoy the comfyness of nothing happening I think this is the show's biggest risk, this has ultimately become a slice of life show, with a weird thematic context. The problem is, most western audiences aren't used to slice of life format, that's more of an eastern theme. If there isn't an inherent conflict or problem that gets resolved every episode then western audiences don't feel fulfilled or accomplished.I personally enjoy post invasion slice of life.
