The show should have been split between Carol, Manousos and Diabete. Everything Carol related definitely could have been trimmed down to the screentime of 3 or 4 episodes, making her still definitively the main character but removing the need to endlessly pad things out. Diabete fucking around and slowly cracking from how fake everything is and Manousos cozily driving through a surreal apocalyptic world while creepy plurbs repeatedly try to temp him definitely should have gotten more screentime, he's by far the best part of the series so far.

In terms of what the plurb leaving her accomplished for the story, it was completely pointless. I think this is the show's biggest risk, this has ultimately become a slice of life show, with a weird thematic context. The problem is, most western audiences aren't used to slice of life format, that's more of an eastern theme. If there isn't an inherent conflict or problem that gets resolved every episode then western audiences don't feel fulfilled or accomplished.
