No, I'm in complete disbelief each time I read online someone saying this show is amazing. Did we watch the same thing? I watched it when it first came out and stayed up late to watch it, but made it to episode 9, and by then I fully lost interest, and couldn't be bothered to finish it. The only thing I remember, is when a guy talks about how he was a shit farmer who shits and eats botflies, to this day I don't know if it was ad-libbed, or just an unfunny joke that failed. Either way, it got the look of fallout. But the writing is something you'll see on a Syfy original.

Multiple characters in the show are room temperature IQ mongoloids: Vault-dwellers, Brotherhood of Steel initiates, wastelanders - the writers don't discriminate. They regularly say and do things that make you wonder whether they're mentally retarded, and how they've managed to survive in the wasteland.
