Just realised something about Manousos (Paraguay guy) and the 78-second delay. He uses the timer to listen to sound on Radio or some wierd instrument. The timer is set to 78seconds. Check the timestamps. He knows the time but not which channel it’s being broadcasted.

In Epsiode 1 - 2 guys who see this signal mention “ it repeats every 78 seconds”. So there is a continuous signal being broadcasted with a gap of 78 seconds. This also explains why it takes time for people to come back to the “hive” when they are hit with negative emotions.

The real question is how much creativity and independent action it can achieve along with how much data is contained within the genetic code from previous plurb planets.

If it can think independently (which it should as it can synthesise new injections) then it might have a happy ending, if it has additional informational/mutations from previous plurbing then we should start seeing cool alien stuff soon. But I don't see either happening, the show is about the human characters with the hive mind just being the plot device of utopia and Carol being unable to be happy or not act like a complete cunt to everyone around her - that's the story and the only resolution will be her accepting plurbing or she'll die in an ironic fashion.
