I played all the Fallout games, the good ones (1, NV), the bad but fun one (3), and the really bad ones (2, 4), all except 76, and yeah it’s worth watching.No idea what my friend who watches all slop they release but hasn’t played Fallout before is getting out of this show though. To me it feels like you’d need to have played at least one game to understand any of it.

Fallout has always been throw everything at the wall and act like everything sticks: the series, even before Bethesda took over, and that’s exactly what this show is.

Overall they could've done a better job at makimg outside world building less shallow, but vault dweller life is following original pretty well, if they were to fuck up this key element it wouldn't go far at all.
