Yes, it is a shitty laugh track stupidly written show But it's not THAT bad to watch...
>>216924670High highs but incredibly low lows
>>216924670I've seen a clip of some woman in this show who's clearly talking in an extremely fake high-pitched voice. I guess she just does that and mongoloids watch that?
First three seasons are enjoyable. It falls off a cliff when Sheldon gets a GF in S4.
BAZINGAAZINGA
>>216924761First three seasons are way worse, because they don't even try to get anything correctly. Everything nerdy is false and just made up.
>>216924782I don't think it was that inaccurate outside maybe the vidya stuffbut it's fucking weird that the others didn't believe sheldon about wolverines claws being originally bone, that's not at all some niche knowledge
>>216924670it was funny for the first few seasons until relationship unfunnyness took over>>216924761fair>>216924782it just made fun of you and you are still seething
>>216924670No Rajesh shitting in the street gag is a huge missed opportunity.
have always maintained that the first 2 seasons were pretty good, as far as major network sitcoms go anyway. better than how i met your mother and such. i watched til season 8 or 9.
>>216925060I saw one where Raj is paired up with a redhead and they're laughing about Clogzilla (Howard) taking monster shits in her bathroom and exiting through the window
>>216924679how would you define the low points?
How did I miss this one in theaters?
>>216924716Yes and very annoying.Very fake and not funny.
>>216924670I watched it when I was younger and kind of mentally assumed it was shit in retrospect, but then I went back and watched some clips and it's honestly pretty solid. At least the earlier seasons.
>>216924670>>216924772>Sheldon Cooper approached the entrance of Stuart's comic shop, eager to spend his Saturday browsing through the latest graphic novels. However, his plans were foiled as he found two men standing outside the door, engaged in a heated argument.>One of the men, dressed in a suit and bow tie, identified himself as Brother Khalil from the Nation of Islam. The other, wearing a brightly colored dashiki, introduced himself as Rabbi David from the Black Hebrew Israelites. Their voices were raised, and their gestures became more animated by the second.>Sheldon, oblivious to the nuances of their discussion, grew increasingly frustrated. "Excuse me," he said, attempting to interrupt them. "Could you please take your argument elsewhere? I wish to enter the comic shop.">Brother Khalil and Rabbi David barely acknowledged Sheldon's presence, too engrossed in their debate. Sheldon, feeling ignored, decided to take matters into his own hands.>"I'm a physicist, you know," Sheldon declared. "I've spent years studying the intricacies of string theory and the behavior of subatomic particles. I'm not intimidated by your petty squabbles.">Brother Khalil and Rabbi David turned to face Sheldon, their expressions incredulous. "You think you're smarter than us, huh?" Brother Khalil said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Let's see how you handle a discussion on the true nature of the universe.">Rabbi David chimed in, "Yeah, come on, physicist. Explain to us why the Bible says—">Sheldon, never one to back down from a challenge, eagerly launched into a detailed explanation of quantum mechanics. The two men listened intently, their faces twisted in skepticism.>Just as it seemed the situation might escalate further, a towering figure with a distinctive voice intervened. "Hey, hey, hey! Was ist los hier?" Till Lindemann, the lead singer of Rammstein, strode into the scene, his imposing presence commanding attention.
>>216925625>Brother Khalil and Rabbi David paused, momentarily taken aback by Till's authoritative tone. Sheldon, still fuming, turned to Till and exclaimed, "These two men are preventing me from entering the comic shop! They're having some sort of absurd argument.">Till chuckled and placed a reassuring hand on Sheldon's shoulder. "Don't worry, mein friend. I'll take care of this." With a nod, Till turned to Brother Khalil and Rabbi David. "Why don't you both take your discussion inside? I'm sure Stuart has some coffee and a quiet corner where you can continue your debate without disturbing the neighborhood.">The two men hesitated, then nodded in agreement. As they entered the comic shop, Till turned to Sheldon and said, "Now, let's get you inside, ja? Maybe we can find some Batman comics to calm your nerves.">Sheldon smiled, grateful for Till's intervention. "Yes, that sounds like an excellent idea." Together, they entered the shop, leaving the heated argument behind.
LOL.They tried to make the character of Penny smart about mid way through the series.I guess playing a slutty drunken next door neighbor whore was enough for the actress. Her character does a 180 to the end of the series and watching the earlier episodes make no sense.
>>216924670It was good till they got girlfriends, never seen later seasons and I never will
>>2169256542014 onward was girl boss era, literally the leave no bimbo behind era>>216925606>At least the earlier seasons.Kahley Cucco and Johnny Goomlately were apparently dating during the first two seasons
>>216925654what happened with Penny in Seasons 8-12? Last I saw she was getting back into acting, well I saw some more eps on tv since then but wasn't sure of the context
>>216925741I lost track of her character. LOLShe married Leonard after using him for rent money and food for most of the series. She fucked Raj while drunk and I think the actress decided that was enough. The last seasons had her as a successful sales rep for a pharmaceutical company (?) and she no longer got drunk and fucked Leonards friends. It was obvious that the actress was ready to walk so they made her character smart and gave her better lines instead of just a drunk slut that they could laugh at.
>>216925843She looks slightly drunk in S7, and then they bring her back with a shorter haircut to revamp the character. I saw some youtube video where some chick argued that Penny was smart all along.>The last seasons had her as a successful sales rep for a pharmaceutical company (?)Didn't Howard's wife work at Pharmacorp as well?
>>216924670i can't watch it because that one chick is too ugly it makes me disgusted
>>216925401I've forgotten them, I just remember them being pretty low
>>216926032LOL. I know which one. If you are Jewish and related to some high level producer or director (which they all are in Hollywood) you got it made regardless of your ugly Jew looking face. She must be high up the Jewish actress chain of command in Hollywood.
>>216926115it's just attempt #4564747568 to make jewesses considered normal and attractive. there's a whole lot of JAP's in nyc&la wishing being a hook-nosed witch was the beauty standard - and their dads work in show biz
>>216924670
ngl would've dicked Amy on the train.
>>216925741She became a "strong woman" and more of a cunt.
>>216926000>shorter haircut to revamp the character.Later on she grew it back out and they shit on her in the show for cutting her hair. I think the ratings dropped when she did it too.
>>216926115Its not as if there's many you have to choose from, retard. She was already an established actress and blossom was a popular show in it's day.
>>216925401>>216926111I think a lot of the worst jokes were when you were just meant to laugh at them for knowing things
>>216924670I remember when it was about to end, a writer for I think The Guardian did an article about Big Bang Theory as "the show critics love to hate" but all the critics they talked to pointed out that it was actually quite well-received by critics. It had a very strong hate following online for its old-fashioned middle-aged ideas about what nerd culture is like, and just in general for being the last big hit sitcom in a (supposedly) dinosaur format. I wish there had been a better sitcom in this format, there are some shows that would have been better with an audience (Veep) but it's probably the last hit sitcom, period.
>>216924782nobody gives a shit about that.It was funny when it was a bunch of loser trying to get laid. then it turned into the Sheldon and Girlboss show
>>216926418LOL
>>216926678>It was funny when it was a bunch of loser trying to get laid. then it turned into the Sheldon and Girlboss showThis pretty much sums it up.They went from funny nerd related scenarios involving the guys to unfunny relationship issues with the females on the show.
>>216926678>>216926820>First couple of seasons: jokes about how annoying Sheldon's bullshit is, with him usually getting some kind of comeuppance for it.>Later seasons: Autists all identify with Sheldon, so now every episode is about how everyone has to understand and put up with Shedlon's bullshit until he and his ugly girlfriend win the Nobel prize.
An anon made a good post the other day about how comfy and low stakes the first few seasons were and how it was like having a slumber party with your friends. I agree, I really enjoyed it>>216926698abby is a perfect angel
>>216926911My boomer parents that watched a couple of episodes on cable said that a real life Sheldon Cooper would have been beaten to death after he made those smartassed comments to the wrong person. LOL
>>216925527KEK
>>216926510this is 90 percent of the show
I honestly don't kniw why i have this incredibly specific fuzzy warm feeling about Kaley Cuoco whenever I remember this show
>>216926952some episodes mentioned that other people did regularly beat the shit out of Sheldon for his bullshit, until he found a group that could be doormats for him. then it just became fantasy camp for real life people who wished they could get away with being obnoxious.
>>216924670I like those videos where they remove the laugh tracks. It becomes ominous.
>>216924670It's actually a funny show. That's all it needs to be. It occurred to me recently that redditers hate it not because of the laugh track, but because they see it as mocking nerds and they identify with that
>>216927035Retconned Billy sparks or Missy/Paige punching him once or twice when he was a kid. Sheldon was never really beaten up by anyone.
>>216927095I hated the fake need cuture stuff that got a lot worse towards the end, at least in the early seasons it rang true for the most part. The most egregious example was them all loving tfa when every real star wars nerd and autist was tearing shreds off of it opening night.
>>216927318which episode?
>>216927541The blowjob hypothesis
>>216927318what's the base model used for this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CBQv8Y3V4oI don't care, this is still funny
>>216925625>>216925649what heppened next
>>216927318She was willing to fuck Stewart and Raj. If I was in the show I could have fucked penny.
>>216927015She's a fucking whore
>>216926698That post was about Amy specifically, nitwit.
99% of the hate for this show is from nerds who were told they were like Sheldon.
>>216931055Yeah how terrible to be a super genius who 95% of people bend over backwards to accommodate.
>>216931055This guy reported the penny webm
>>216931055I liked the show and still hated when my mother kept comparing me to him, I can't even begin to imagine how bitter it would make somebody who didn't care for the show to begin with
