>Lee Van Cleef was a bronze star medal recipient in WWII
I like his face, it's angular
>>216927282Yeah, he was a bad ass. What's your point, OP?
many actors are cast from sociopaths and psychopaths
Only bronze huh?
>>216927306Actors used to be badass. Steve McQueen served in the Marine Core
>>216927282I like him in Escape from New York
>>216927323Nah, when we were a proper country we celebrated our heroes, now we make celebreties out of the most undeserving.
He was never cooler than he was in Sabata.
>>216927567I very much agree. Fun movie.
>>216927282What race was he?Part native or something?

>>216927282U.S. army vet here, MOS 56M - Mulatto Integration Specialist (you’re welcome for my service btw)Bronze Star isn’t really special. I got one as a lieutenant during a 6 month combat tour to Kuwait. I have two in total. Silver Star is actually an accomplishment, and I only know a half dozen guys who have them. One bravely called in artillery rounds on suspected unarmed civilians in Afghanistan.
>>216927968They were probably harder to get during WWII.

>>216931361Not enough, you are still around.
>>216927968The fuck is Kuwait.
>>216928893You're probably right. Vietnam vets had it the worst. What a lot of people don't understand is that being in two or three large scale engagements in a given year is a lot less traumatic than getting shot at by concealed enemies or running into a booby trap/IED constantly. I remember reading somewhere that the average US Vietnam vet was like 3 times more likely than the average WW2 vet to encounter some form of combat on a given day. I don't want to diminish the experience of any combat vet, and obviously there were certain fronts in WW2 where combat was a near daily occurrence, but overall I would much rather get drafted to fight in Europe in WW2 than Vietnam.
He went far for a Japanese man.
