I watched Lain in the late 90s, it was pretty interesting at the time but I have no desire to ever watch it again. I kinda grew up from that period and I'm not sure why more people don't.

Lain, Boogiepop Phantom and Texhnolyze are all similar in that the plot and character drama is very minimal but the aesthetic and atmosphere are interesting. I find I'm less appreciative of this style as I get older.
