propaganda used to be good at giving the illusion that god and country were things worth dying for. it helped that most working americans were able to buy property and live the american dream no matter what they were doing. this hasn't been the case in a few decades and thats why they have to send 20-something year old military men for high schools, look for the kids who seem like they have no prospects, and convince them as early as possible that they can have a camaro or whatever if they join up.
