here, its a useless trinket
I sighed when a job gave me some sort of trinket for good service.
I am not a wagie like that guy, 20 years waging but did some good work and they gave me a fucking useless trinket as a token of thanks.
I am not ungrateful, just I am a grown man, I dont need trinkets in my life and anything I do want or need I buy myself.
One job did allow me to take some booze home with me for doing a good job and overtime once. It was a booze warehouse.
Now that was a welcomed thank you token.

Maybe, but he doesn't wear it for style. He's gone on record saying it's basically a disguise. He only wears the hats for public events because he wants it tied to the public's mental image of him. That way when he's on his own time he can take it off and nobody recognizes him. We're meant to think the hat is his flannel shirt, but it's actually his Clark Kent glasses.
