after watching this i'm convinced that disney could've made sequels far more better than they did but they made them shitty on purpose. it was a matter of choice 100%.
Still the best SW movie since the Xmas special. At least a modicum of characterization, likeable characters.

And Kathy has a big ego and really wanted to prove that she was some legendary producer. So she conspired with Rian to undo everything JJ had done (he largely ignored her and made the film through Bad Robot) and, more importantly, desecrate Luke and overwrite Lucas' legacy.It's not a coincidence that she clashed with pretty much every director other than Rian to the point that she had to fire them or lock them out the editing room. Seriously, look it up.
