Finished the re-watch of season one. Couple of things I want to point out. Out of all the kids Caleb (Lucas) was easily the best actor of them all. He was fantastic, and elevated most of the scenes, second best was Dustin, Will was great for the two episodes he was in, then Eleven and then Mike. It's really weird because like everyone else I remember Finn Wolfhard being really good in this but he sucked, he was really wooden. He got an unfair amount of praise, Caleb was the best. Second thing is Steve "The Hair" Harrington was the man, and he got fucked over so hard by Nancy and Nathan, I remember thinking he was the typical rich asshole bully from all the 80s movies and TV shows we watched but he was the opposite. He did the right thing by defending Nancy from Johnathan creeping on them. Steve called out his asshole friends multiple times and was often the voice of reason. He was a little fast or pushy with banging Nancy but he did actually like her and saw her as a person and treated her well. and stood up for her often. Steve stopped his friend from jumping into the fight with Johnathan so it could be a fair one and he actually lost the fight to Johnathan and wasn't an asshole about it at all. He went back to clean up the graffiti on the theater. He tried to apologize to Johnathan and Nancy pointed a gun at him and forced him to leave and he still came back to help them fight the demogorgon, actually managing to save his shitty girlfriend and the dude she's trying to cuckold him with. He fucking bought Johnathan a new camera, let Nancy give it to him as a gift and she fucking kisses him on the cheek and goes back to snuggling Steve, foul whore. Justice for Steve. Also Mr. Clark had an Asian baddie as a girlfriend, too bad they took that away.
