I kind of like it honestly, since the show consistently commits to it. I've never seen the movies, but I doubt I would like them. Cruise doesn't fit the character, and I've never enjoyed his acting or any of his movies. It's not just the scientology shit, he's the blandest most generic hollywood actor I can think of.
