i remember thinking this was dry and miserable as hell. rewatched it the other day, it's actually just very silly. i don't like (or even get to know) any of the characters aside from the old lady. most of it is style-over-substance.much preferred Trainspotting. it's not exactly social realism, but it just shows people who act human, and it has a sense of humour about it all.

This is one of my favorite movies, if it wasn't for the old lady's hallucinations it would be literally perfect.I love how well it conveys the sense of claustrophobia and the feeling of the walls closing in on the protagonists.Not to mention how good the "hip hop editing" looks.
