Go get some rope, bud.

this movie sucked pure liquid ass so that's probably why.

Not telling a hunchback he's ugly when he doesn't ask you isn't lying by omission.
Pretending he's beautiful when your thought and objective fact say opposite is a lie.

>The movie about inventing lying lied about lying.
It was always about an agenda

Yeah. Me asking you if you're a faggot and you replying "how about that weather" is lying by omission. Me existing and you blurting out "I love sucking cock" is not lying by omission.

It was an interesting idea thatbproduced some really good gags would have worked well for a 20 minute short film. Of course Gervais thought the "god doesn't real" angle alone would make it a good film.

They're commie cunts who want to know every single thought you have in case you have unapproved thoughts

Is this the one where Ricky made Karl fly out to America to dress up as a caveman and then didn't include the scene in the film?

This movie is the very definition of not understanding what words mean.

“No!”
Going home every night to the woman who loved you before you made anything of yourself, who you know isn’t just looking for money or some fleeting attachment to stardom, is winning the game.
The sluts are nice, but the real thing is better.

>tfw too bloody smart to write a successful comedy. even this simple premise is too high minded for a world of dullards. ps. being an athiest is the hardest thing ever.

Yeah, I agree with OP and both of these movies have this problem. In Invention of Lying they insult each other and say the most awkward things at the very first interaction, no questions asked. But of course, these are comedy so whatever, it's not that serious.

Also, since we are on the topic, the Pinocchio paradox of him saying "my nose will grow" or when someone shows a character torturing Pinocchio to discover the truth about something, this never made sense and is not a paradox at all. If I go to the movies but tell Pinocchio that I went to the dentist, if someone asks Pinocchio, he should say the dentist to be speaking the truth, if he said I went to the movies, he would be lying, even though that's factually what I did.

Lying implies intention, it's not about what's real or false, but on whether you are seeking to manipulate it to your benefit.
