Honestly Genisys would have been so much better if it had just been the '84 stuff. I remember the promotional material and thinking "Oh they're doing T2 stuff with the T-1000 during the first movie. That sounds interesting" and then they shit the bed by travelling forward in time to the (then) present and made the whole thing about social media paranoia.
