I usually just cook a regular meal and watch things while I eat.The box makes sense though because of how greasy everything is.When you put deep fried stuff on a plate or tray, it kinda swims in it a bit. Paper/cardboard does a better job to soak it all up, then you can just throw it away and not have your sink covered in an oily film from washing up
