What he used to do is more difficult today because everything is so fucked that there's not much to really make fun of. And with people like trump and boris, they make fun of themselves. Also comedians from his generation had an assumption that history was moving in a certain direction and instead it's done a u-turn. I think it hit them all for six since they all seem to have gone quiet, even the biggest lefties like Stewart Lee who you'd be thinking would be the loudest opponents to it all. They don't have an angle, a way to make fun of people like nigel or whoever that really affects them.
