fuck was this cantankerous cocksucker's problem?
>>
He fucking ruined his life marrying his brother's wife after he died and was infinitely pissed off about this to the point that he literally tries to kill himself by getting into that fight with Al and then tries to do it again by going there to try to get his guns back.

He's also just an angry fuck in general. I always found it funny how when Justified was coming out they played a commercial a lot that had Natalie Zea saying "You're than angriest man I've ever known." and he was like a pussycat compared to how fucking angry and unhinged Bullock was. I like Milch's idea that anyone who did hero bullshit like that was likely a hair-trigger violent lunatic.

the real bullock was a very angry guy, pretty soon after becoming sheriff he just stared people down his reputation and apparently a really intimidating stare worked like 90% of the time

Same. That white boy could write. I've got a bad feeling we won't see his like again in Hollywood.

A lot of people have this, some people just have a very loud bark and it's enough to prevent issues a lot for them
>>
>>216985523
he'd also beat the shit out of people if they didn't back down, thats where the reputation part came from
>>
There's so many great episodes but this scene man.... Anybody who doesn't rate Deadwood can't have seen this episode in S2
>>
>>216985159
he was a bipolar freak
instead with drink he treated his disease with incredible violence
>>
>>216985824
maybe maybe not but he really did bring law and order to deadwood without a single death to his name
>>
>>216985159
He came to Deadwood to run a general store and stop being a lawman. But the insanity of Deadwood plus the fact that Al killing Alma's husband forced him to become sheriff again which he despised but had to do so because the quiet town he sought to start over in with his wife and step kids was a literal asylum
>>
>>216986462
in real life it was the killing of wild bill where the town elders including swegin had enough of this shit and formed a committee to elect a sheriff apart from that it went down petty much how it goes in the show
>>
>>216985299
>the real bullock
>>
There's no real reason he should have stayed with skyler instead of the hot ass widow. His wife's son was already in the ground.
>>
>>216986601
uh yea were you unaware this was a true story? the only oc character is alma, everyone else was a real person and the entire thing is very well documented
>>
I love this scene because everyone in the town seems to understand what's going to happen except Alama's father - they know that Bullock might go as far as literally killing him. Alma's father thinks he's smooth talking his way out of it, like he always does, but all he's doing is antagonizing Bullock even more.

>>
>>216986767
yes about things that really happened, are you unfamiliar with dramatizations of real life events? they are fairly common and have been for many thousands of years now

SAN FRANSEESCO COCK-SUCKA!!!
>>
>>216985159
randy maniac bishop
>>
>>216986645
So what happened when the Pinkertons finally showed up?
>>
>>216986746
lol when he comes out of the saloon, he's so angry that he looks like he's losing his mind
>>
>>216986837
not much, you have to remember they were a huge organization, by the time they arrived in deadwood it was, largely thanks to bullock, a thriving lawful town turning into a city. They just did what they normally did, buy a bunch of shit and offer service for hire to protect business interests, swegin and co were far too well established for any sort of fuckery by that point. Iirc Bullocks hardware store had burnt down and he had built a hotel. Also Bullock was a retired marshall and friends with Roosevelt, Swegin had significant business interests in you guessed it San Fransisco Cocksucker. In short nothing of note happened. Also the movie changed it up Swegin actually died in san fransisco probably hit by a tram maybe murdered, no-one knows for sure.
