I think I like From Beyond a little more
it was good until it got stupid in the third act which is like 90% of competent horror films.

Hardly a hidden gem. But I love it ever since I downloaded a shitty rip from DC++ decades ago.Only wish they included more of Lovecrafts more 'problematic' (according to the left) views of you catch my drift. Though the story that re animator borrow from are pretty tame, except the negro part

>>216988780you're not wrong but I can't let go of the feeling that it was trying to say something what with all the parallels between Giorgio and his mother and John and his family and their blood relationship and stuff but in the end it doesn't really make a point but it just fascinates me. the guy who wrote it also wrote the script for "The Evil Clergyman" which is also apparently just a mashup of 2 different Lovecraft stories and in the end makes no sense so I dunno
