You can't really convince people to watch this movie. There are a lot of jews in this, you can't avoid that. And Timmy is a grating personality, genuinely dislike the actor, and this character is basically his exact real life public persona. And I understand if people won't take a pingpong movie seriously. (There are several plotlines but it is ultimately a sports movie) it bothers me that I want to defend it. It really is a good movie

Just got back from seeing this. Did this feel like a weird self-parody of the same movie structure of Uncut Gems? Chalamet is doing a good job or at least he's trying to but the movie is so over stuffed with plots and goes on for so long that about halfway through I lost interest. I honestly wish that the ending had also played out differently than it did and I think that Good Time and Uncut Gems were good because the Safdies had the spine to go all the way on their characters and the consequences of their actions.
