What a waste of money kek
>>216997603Andor was actually a multi year multi planet multi biome spanning epic shot on location with good special effects, the rest are people standing in front of a green screen talking
>>216997603How the fuck did Pluribus cost that much
>>216997603Money laundering
>>216997669that's just the minimum to hire a crew now
Something went really wrong with movie making when streaming became a thing. All the fucking "metrics" seem to favor a long, drawn out mysteryslop that favor a half a sleep wageslave.
>>216997669They had to buy the actual Sprouts location they filmed an episode in.
>>216997669Seriously have the time its one or two people on the screen. What the actual fuck
>>216997603i didn't finish season one of severance but isn't it mostly just one big building and a bunch of office rooms? what?
>>216997603Andor is the best Star Wars since the OT (albeit for completely different reasons than what made the OT great) and used a shitton of on location shots rather than CGI sloppa, and Stranger Things S5 is a shitshow story wise but at least they committed to doing practical effects that look stellar. You can bitch and moan 'muh woke sloppa,' but shit like this plus Avatar getting diminishing returns has made me feel more optimistic about Hollywood than I have all decade, & that we might get a resurgence of practical effects and on location shooting rather than cgi circlejerks made by street shitters.
>>216997603Andor was greatHe was ruthless
>>216997669Crane shots out the ass. Shooting on location in multiple countries. They had to rent out military equipment such as tanks and aircraft’s. Vince Gilligan is one of the most expensive showrunners. It adds up.
>>216997603>>216997669Pluribus was such a piece of shit. Nothing fucking happens for an entire season while Vince goons to the main actress. Huell alone was more interesting and a deeper character than every single character on-screen in the entirety of Pluribus S1. How do you fuck up this badly?
>>216997650what? There's no green screens in Pluribus, it's all shot on location, and I don't recall any in Severance either since 90% of it takes place in an office building. Stranger Things is the only one with green screen slop.
>>216997603When a movie bombs does it lower the inflation? I mean some big cat dog in Hollywood invested all that money hoping people will give him even more in return but it got burned instead. Does it mean there's less money in the wild?
>>216998140go back to scrolling tiktok troon
>>216998190>There's no green screens in PluribusARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?
>>216997669Vince pays himself $40M.
>>216998617what the fuck
>>216997603What the hell?
>>216997650>multi planet
100k
>>216998190>what? There's no green screens in PluribusHahahaha see>>216998617>I don't recall any in Severance eitherahahah bruh, pic related
>>2170001332nd example >>216998830It’s Star Wars, zoomer fuckhead
>>217000183
>>217000000
>>216998617>>217000133aight nvm i'm retarded and take it all back carry on
Y'all talking like these are make or break titles for some fledgling studio taking some huge gamble - all these shows are backed by tech conglomerates/Disney in the hundreds of billions and Apple alone over 1 trillion dollars who I personally would love to see fail (but they won't) They're getting rinsed and upcharged by the creative dept for sure / there's some kinda shenanigans going on -- but if artists are getting the bag , dreams are getting made, who really cares?
>>216997603I forget who it was that said it, but some Jeweywood big shot described Netflix as the "Walmart of streaming services" and he was absolutely right.
