So for the uninitiated, in 2008, people unassociated with the original production used pan and scan on the negatives of Lonesome Dove and cropped the picture from 4:3 to 16:9, butchering much of the series in the process by cutting off 20% of the picture from top to bottom. I searched for over a year for the final DVD of the original 4:3 TV master and couldn’t find it. So I bought it myself and ripped it. Anyone interested in a Lonesome Dove stream?During the stream I will upload the ripped files that also include the special features. It’s about 20gb. If you haven’t seen Lonesome Dove you won’t wanna miss this masterpiece, and how it was meant to be seen.
