They did a pretty good job at getting the same vibe from the houseAlso Malcolm isn't president because he's supposed to be 35 in this and a TV producer because the premise of the original show is that it's very loosely based on the creator, Linwood Boomer, and his experiences growing up as a gifted kid in a blue collar family. Malcolm is now where Linwood is.My only issues are brief timeline placements.>In season 1 (1999-2000), Dewey is 6-7, Malcolm is 11-12, Reese is 12-13, and Francis is 15-16>In season 7 (2005-2006), Jamie is 2-3, Dewey is 12-13, Malcolm is 17-18, Reese is 18-19, and Francis is 21-22>Francis turned 21 in season 6 and Hal commented that he and Lois have been married 20 years, which Francis comments on. Lois had been shown to have been going into labor at the wedding alter, so it's implied Francis' birth may have postponed the actual marriage>The premise of Life's Still Unfair is that it's their 40th wedding anniversary, so the ages should be Jamie (22), Dewey (32), Malcolm (37), Reese (38), and Francis (41), with the new child Kelly presumably being 18, but all the given ages I've seen are 2 years earlier
