>>217005517it's not a luxury but you kinda gotta fit 2 or 3 criteria for it to ever be something to do. first one is normies, on the off chance you got a girl or a kid or a whole family that acts like they care about you enough to withstand your presence for 2 hrs. second one is the one time events, like the only thing that might get me back in amc in the next month is the lotr 25 yr ann'y, and i could just as well stream it at home, right now, but it'd be a thing to say i was there then 25 years ago and back again 25 years later. especially since the people i went with then are dead. and then the third reason is basically if you have nothing to do and just need to get out of the house
>>217006164Bro you need the electrolytes to plow through 3 hours of Marvel.
>>217005517Yes. It's too expensive. I'm hoarding my money to retire early. There are so many "free" movies out there, I don't need to go spend $20-30 plus tip at the local kinoterium. I'll just see what flicks are streaming for free on youtube or tubi. I'm not going to keep slaving away for Mr. Silverberg 40+ hours a week to spend it all on transitory experiences like film. I need that wealth for stockpiles of non-perishable foods, livestock, and other sundries for the retirement homestead.
