>>217008487I wouldn’t say a single word. I would listen, and that’s what no one did.
Ow. My freaking ears.
>>217008487I cry and piss my pants because scawy digital beeps and boops stawtled me!
Accept my death
>>217009670Legitimately did this sans the crying and pissing my pants. My phone went off at like 6AM (before my regular 8AM alarm) blaring that EAS alarm with some sort of amber alert. In my half sleep state, I just registered sheer panic and started screaming at the top of my lungs frozen just staring at my phone until I came to and cleared the alarm. I promptly went back to sleep like nothing happened. I probably woke up my next door neighbors.

If such an alert ever went off, there is ZERO chance I would not categorize it as a test, even if the nukes are already descending on us. I would be like Dyatlov, looking directly at the smoldering graphite fuel channels and be like "eh... it's probably fine".
>>217010546When I lived in the US they would use that system to to relay infos about kidnappings in the local area (places I never heard from), and one time to inform us to clear the 4th of july concert because of thunder (I wasn't at the concert). I think in total it rang 4 or 5 times over the 18 months I was there, turned me from panicking at the first instance (didn't know about this feature and I was driving) to completely nonchalant by the end of my stay
