As a weeb for 30+ years, I get filtered by "realistic" Western animation. It's just ugly and awkward.
Anime from that time can be pretty awkward too, but at least it's aesthetically pleasing.
That said it's an important and historically significant piece so you should probably watch it anyway if just for that.
