The best thing to happen was James Marsden was getting "ambiguously killed" in front of Sonic by Shadow, which both served the narrative and themes of the movie while also forcing him, his wife, and their hologram disguises out of the movie>Gave me a reason to believe why Shadow would care so deeply for Maria as a friend beyond white girl syndrome; she actually accepted him, gave him an identity, had fun together, and didn't see him as a monster destined to kill them all like GUN did>Shadow attempting to commit suicide by cop/Sonic both to prove a point that anyone would have dealt out vengeance knowing what he feels and couldn't make a choice in the matter, and also to end his decades of griefObviously James Marsden expositing the central theme to Sonic at the start is clunky and childish, I have to have realistic expectations, and the story drags a bit in the middle as soon as James Marsden and his wife re-enter the story and do the heist, but the actual SA2 content is handled so well and respectfully and done better than the source material that as a video game adaptation movie, I think it's a great success.

sonic 1 and 3 are really fun movies, 2 is mostly miserable because the good parts are sprinkled inbetween the nigger kike propagandaso naturally i didn't watch the ((knuckles)) show. very sad. loved the guy that plays knuckles in the movies, he's great.
